I agree: 2005 seems more likely. Probably late. By then, there'll most surely be a new film (either completed or in production), possibly another series (hopefully) and perhaps some other projects. Of course, this is all my opinion.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend Muppetfest. I...
You know, I always though that was one of the dumbest yet most hilarious moves in Star Trek TNG: having Counselor Troi wear a short skirt.
On a starship; in the future; that's just not right
I admit: I have yet to see Avenue Q :o. NY is a four hour plane trip, and with school it's hard to find time to go.
But, maybe next year if the things still playing. :)
Hopefully, they'll find a way to take the show on the road sometime. But that'll probably be increasingly harder...
OK, fair enough. I actually think having a science officer is a good idea, but that's just me. Picard & Crew do just fine without one, though; so I do agree that it's not "absolutely" necessary.
Still, I think having one is a good idea. But as I said, that's just me.
OK, I just asked; I didn't specify a generaliztion. Calm down :). I now know that not all lovers of children's cartoons are this way; I never said that they were.
God, this was a thread intended for fun that's already gotten ridiculously out of hand in under twenty minutes
I agree: the muppet wizard of oz is a good idea. No, scratch that, a great idea. I know that when this concept was first brought up here in the forum, it garnered some passionate hostility. But, if this movie comes to be, if executed right, it could prove to be very enjoyable. Remember...
OK, I heard my younger brother and sister mention this word while watching television and recently learned what it means (I know, it's been around for a while; I'm a little slow :) ) and thought I'd ask here just for fun: who here is metrosexual? If you like SS, the muppets, Berenstain Bears...
And your point is? ;)
But seriously, despite the nose (which a lot of fans, including myself, don't care for) and the change in skin color, he looks pretty much the same as he did when he was much younger.
Nothin' wrong with trying to look younger :)

Oh God, that brings me back. I totally forgot about that title until you mentioned it.
We do need another Henson series (and not something trying to be all "hip" and "cool," like Muppets Tonight or IAVMMCM; but rather, like you said, something with a kinda innocent '80's-esque feel to it)...
I belive that's when they are announced as well.
LOTR should win this year. Return of the King is undoubtedly the greatest of the three.
Anyway, I just saw two more films: Mona Lisa Smile and Something's Gotta Give. SGG has all-around great performances, namely Diane Keaton. Jack...
I cannot wait for this set to be released; it sounds awesome. And the cover art looks great! Not as great as the last VHS/DVD release, but still 100x better than the Dark Crystal box set cover.
I think a "Best of" set would be more likely. Such as the first episode, the best guest stars, Hooper's death, re-opening of Hooper's store, Maria and Louise's wedding, etc. And for some of the special features, news segments with Kermit the Frog, the best Bert & Ernie sketches and those...
Really? That's awesome news.
And something that I'd love to see next year that I neglected to mention -- Muppet Babies. And not a bare bones set, but one with cool behind the scenes stuff, retrospectives, etc.
