He needs a better agent or something (just like Eddie Murphy, who has had like only two good films in the last decade). The guy is a comic genius, yet hasn't been in much to showcase his full range. His early career especially is full of horrible fluff.
Movin Out is an awesome show, and I would be surprised if you hate it. The choreography is amazing (as is expected of Twyla Tharp), and the dancers are always equally awesome. Even if you don't like that style of singing, it's a very small critique, as you will definitely find.
What are all yo0ur opinions on the upcoming Lord of the Rings musical? Have you all seen clips or heard some of the music? The playbill.com e-club so far has released the TV commercial and is gradually releasing video clips of a documentary over the next few weeks, and the show looks very...
So, I am wondering: where is everyone from? I realize I don't post in here as often as I used to, and this forum doesn't seem to be as active as it once was. There are very few names on posts here that I recognize anymore!
So ... in a silly and somewhat desperate effort, I guess, to get...
I'm not a big fan of anime (I tried watching an entire episode of Pokemon once, and could only take about ten minutes before going crazy lol), but this is very interesting news.
This is awesome for Jim Henson, as, IMO, it'll definitely broaden their horizons and, as a result, slowly build up...
This is "awesome" news :D ... who knew in a million years that Disney buying the muppets would turn out to be a beneficial thing?
Hopefully, a year from now, the quality'll still be there.
I forget where I heard that ... Batman Begins does leave room for another film: remember, at the end, when we get a bit of The Joker.
Then again, is Batman Begins intended to be a prequel to the second Batman movie (the masterful Tim Burton film)?
OMG, I haven't been here since March, and this thread is still going strong? It has been what, three years? Must be a new record :)
Anyway ... I am definitely looking forward to Rent, as well as The Producers (which seems to have been delayed for so long).
And, of course, the next...
Oh God ... a lot. I assume this means solo singers?:) I'll list my top picks: Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Neil Young, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, John Denver, Judy Garland, Bernadette Peters, Kristin Chenoweth, Susan Egan, Michael Ball, Eden Espinosa...
Last book I read? The latest Harry Potter.
I am so looking forward -- with much anticipation -- to Son of a Witch, the sequel to Wicked, next week! I am "SUCH" a huge fan of that musical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, you don't like MCC? The greatest Muppet film ever! Greatest example of the directorial genius that is Brian Henson.
OK ... calming down now :o
Wow ... seven years? Congrats! It's amazing what you have built, both in terms of website content and site reputation in that amount of time.
I humbly bestow upon you this half-eaten Eskimo Pie :zany:
Wow ... two years already? Time really does fly. I have his autograph still ... this was right before he dies; I recieved one from him and one from Mr. McFeely.
Two DVD releases are due in April ... you can either get them with a toy or in a sweater ... I think only one will be in a sweater...
Alright, deal. Still, I'm suspicious ... trailers for all muppet films under Jim Henson, including the two wuth the Walt Disney Picturs label attached, look awesome; just as great as the film itslf. As the first trailer strictly under Disney, it looks cheap and too formulatic. But, I will...
Not Great, Not Even Good, But Watchable
Alright, I just saw the thing, yes I'm a bit slow, and while not great, not even good, let's face it, this looks watchable, which is a whole lot better than what I predicted would happen with any future projects when Disney bought the muppets. What I...
