    What's your favorite sound effect?

Shameless Plug Since it's appropriate to this thread, I thought I would mention I produced a CD for Rhino records called "Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Sound FX". It has 100 great effects from the H-B library. I also do a bunch of character voices on it, including Quick Draw McGraw, Snooper and...

    Bear in Playhouse Disney Live!

Hey MissterPiggy! I was there with Fozzie that day. What happened at the end of the show? Bear started to talk, then was abruptly cut-off mid-sentence. Then "Jamie" said, "Well, that's it! Bye!" and ran off the stage. Wasn't there supposed to be a "Goodnight" song? :p

    Muppets Auditions Sept 2005+

The Muppet and Disney people let him take the picture. :p

    henson stich

There are probably people on MC that know how it's done since they worked in one or another of the Creature Shops, but otherwise, the Henson Stitch seems to be the one thing that he kept secret. He showed how everything else was done and talked about the Henson stitch, but never showed it to...

    Jack Burns

    I guess you've never had a weekend at Bernie's! :p

    Jack Burns

Well, I sincerely hope Avery Schreiber wasn't there as he died in 2002. And speaking of death (RIMSHOT!)... The occasion was the memorial service for Pat McCormick, a very funny writer and performer. Besides Carlin and Burns, there was a who's who of 1960's and 70's comedians and actors...

    Kermit Co-Hosts Extra

Oh... and P.S... You won't be seeing any of the "auditioned" puppeteers any time soon. Not only do they still have the Toronto auditions to do, but after the "chosen ones" have been selected, they are going to make them go through a workshop, according to Martin Baker. :p

    Kermit Co-Hosts Extra

No, it was Steve on Extra. When they were taping the little bumper with Kermit at the stamp ceremony, I heard them say something about going to the studio, which I didn't understand at the time, but was obviously about Kermit co-hosting on set. :p

    Fires and other local disasters

Coming home just now, it looks like the entire Burbank hillside is in flames... and yet, they're running sports on the news, so I guess it isn't that bad. :p

Ducktales and Rescue Rangers coming to DVD!

I don't want to say until I know for sure, but look where I originally posted on the thread and I think you'll figure it out. Hopefully I will know this week. :p

    Kermit's 50th Anniversary World Tour

All he said on Extra was "Hi ho, Kermit the Frog here, coming to you from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and you're watching Extra!" (Or something very similar to that). Then they had him do a take where he just said his name and you're watching Extra, without mentioning where...

    Kermit's 50th Anniversary World Tour

I saw him tape that. I stayed after the Stamp Ceremony and he did a bunch of different interviews. I don't know who the others were for. :p P.S. Are "monutes" Canadian "minutes"?

    Jack Burns

Speaking of people who wrote for the Muppets, on a happier note... Two weeks ago, I met Jack Burns! I swear I thought he had passed away. I vividly remember hearing about it. But there he was in the flesh and looking good. His hair is all white now, but that's still better than being dead...

The average cost of extras in a film or series

The Screen Actors Guild calls them Background Actors and in the current contract, they make $122 a day for 8 hours, overtime after that. Special Ability, which can include anything from juggling to just having a character name (like the example of Morn in the last post) gets you $132 a day...

    Left-handed Muppeteers

I don't know if Jim wrote left-handed, but he definitely puppeteered right-handed. That does basically make all the puppets left-handed... that is, until the puppeteers became proficient at working two rods with one hand. And technically, the puppets with working hands are right-hand dominant...

Ducktales and Rescue Rangers coming to DVD!

Hold on for another week or so... I may have an announcement that will make you very happy! :p

    Kermit's 50th Anniversary World Tour

By the way, as has already been verified elswhere on this thread, Steve is doing all 50 stops... I heard it right from the frog's mouth! :p

    Attend the Muppet Stamp Ceremony

I took some pictures and some video of Kermit singing Rainbow Connection. I'll post it as soon as I can. Unfortunately, it was kinda dark and my flash wouldn't reach, so a lot of the pictures came out dark, but I have a few really good ones! :p P.S. Also got my picture taken with...

    Celebrating Jerry Juhl

Mike Polis from The Henson Company told me this morning before the Wall Sculpture dedication, then Brian announced it during the stamp ceremony. He said, as someone else on here did, that at least Jerry and his Dad were together again.
