If you're talking good spoof movies; Those who haven't seen it should check out Airplane! It spoofs some old tv shows and movies, and is full of classic one-liners. Then compare that to the likes of something like "insert adjective" Movie.

I've found if I ever have scratched things, rather than try and fix them myself. I just go to my local video rental place. They usually have the proper technology to fix scratched dvds/cds.. and for a small fee I'm sure they'd be willing to do it for you.
