I thought I remembered hearing that the man who was reponsible for the voice of the cartoon character had died a few years back. Is that true? If so, does anybody know who will be doing the voice for the movie?
Also, are there any production pictures out there? I'd like to see how it's coming...
The use of violence to protest violence does seem strange. I guess it's kinda like using violence to bring about peace in another country.
Me, I'm agin' it in either case. I feel that the situation in Iraq should have been thought out more carefully. Unfortunately, I don't think we have the...
I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've never actually seen Digit. I hope that doesn't mean that I'm not the fan I think I am.
Would anyone here be able to post a picture, to either enlighten or at the very least, remind me of who this character is?
Thank you *bows head in shame*
Well, I don't know if this helps, but Elmo was supposed to be just an extra monster. The original voice was played by a different muppeteer and was a bit deeper (actually I think it was a lot deeper). The cute primary-colored critter had star potential and was cast with a different voice. Can...
Thanks, Matt. It makes perfect sense and I am grateful you posted. The thought of using clay honestly never occured to me. I was prepared to use baloons, like we did in school. I was having a hard time trying to figure out how I was going to get any detail.
Thanks again

I've been searching on google.com and have discovered papier mache` as a medium for creating puppets. Turns out it was a method used hundreds of years ago and is still used among puppeteers today. I am going to be trying it and will tell you whether it's worth the effort.
A question to any of...
From me
My name is Patrick. I prefer God, but people look at me sideways when I ask them to call me that.
I don't mind Pat, though it sounds more femenine, and while I'm secure with myself I still have an aversion to this use of the name.
I've been called Patty Cake (I was a baker for a...
a little late
I haven't been in here for a while, but I was very saddened to hear the news. I woke up, ready to go to class, turned on the teli', and was shocke to learn of his passing. My wife walked into the room as it was being announced and we both turned to each other in disbeleif.
Mr...
Thank you all so much. Yes, I do think she's pretty cute :p
I took her out today to give mom a break and an opportunity to nap. She's the one that's really losing out on the sleep. I work an odd shift and my wife has taken it upon herself to sacrifice her time and energy in the evening to...
On October 1, at approximately 1:40pm, est., my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl :D
She is our first child and man are we tired. I'm sure there are others out there who can attest to the amazing miracle of birth, but until the moment of truth actually arrived, I wasn't convinced that...
Captain Dirth? Hmmmmmmmmm???? * twirls finger in mustache , looking pensive *
Yes, by jove, I like that. I really do :D
Yhanks for the info, BTW, I thought I was on to something. The real question is, did you like the movie, Cantus?
This thread hasn't been bumped in a while so I thought I would open the original discussion back up and ask a question. Was Animal Farm, the televised version, also a product of the Creature Shop?
Youknow, I've heard of Meet the Feebles, but have yet to see it or even find it for that matter. I didn't know Jackson was behind that one. I have to agree about LOTR, though. It was fantastic. I had trouble with the scene at the ford. It could have been left alone, but I think it was changed to...
Speaking of departures from the norm (i.e. Disney films that didn't seem so Disney...ish), did anyone like Atlantis?
I thought it was way cooel.....umm....it was really nifty. Sure, it was a take off from Stargate, but it still had a good plot line and a couple of good action sequences.
