And let's not forget my favorite: Late-night Muppet nerd, goes to NBC execs and says "Really cool thing in a closet in the basement! Why isn't this on display!"
What I love about that was it had NOTHING to do with fame. It had nothing to do with image. It was just this guy saying, "This...
Yeah and it's weird. You look at Eisner's career and you HAVE to stop and wonder "Wha' Happened?" Because the company hadn't been doing well when he took over and then from about 85 to 98 where things were better, but then they started creating horrible stuff around the turn of the millenium...
I think a BIG part of that credit goes to Bob Iger and how he has handled things since taking over. It seems like he's very open to not just having bean-counters run thing but also making sure that creative people have say in things. I think Disney as a company itself has just changed so much...
Sitting here watching clips from the Wally boag episode on youtube. Easily the unfunniest episode of the show. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he didn't work well with them. There's just no interaction between him and the characters that works.
I'd think that anybody who came back...
Prawncracker, I sent you a PM.
Count, it's from a tv special hosted by Bob Newhart and looking at holiday moments from Ed Sullivan. It aired in '92 and at one point during the show the Muppets come out to promote MCC by singing "It feels like Chritmas" while dressed in character.
I'd need to see the character being performed before i could really pass judgment on him. While he's not as cool looking as other muppet characters like Gonzo, Clifford, Floyd, Beau, etc. He certainly looks like he has personality.
my only 'criticism' of the character is that I think he...
here's a good one. Beau does a puppet show for Kermit (and Piggy)

p.s. there's also a clip from the same episode (Senor Wences) where Fozzie plans a marionette act. He asks Gonzo for help and Gonzo refuses claiming no one would want to watch...
I've noticed this too, and not just that it's negative but harshly negative. But I don't think about it too much since I've discovered the forums "ignore list" feature.

Muppet babies took the characters and, in every sense of the word, made them 2-dimensional. I think Gonzo was the character who suffered the most here.
I'm glad that Muppets will be web-based. Like i said I like the Xmen thing, but if I were spending the money on a DVD I'd want it to be a...
Depends on your definition of CGI Muppets. Waldo was an experiment of Jim's and I think it's one he didn't get enough credit for. I think Jim saw the digital age and saw what it was going to do to puppetry (i.e Yoda). And he already had a plan in place for how he and his staff would survive...
Recently I saw the motion comic that Marvel did of the first arc for Ast. X-men and really enjoyed it. then again, that was the comic book that got me reading comics again. As a fun thing to find and watch on the interent it was kinda cool, but I couldn't imagine buyin an actual DVD of it and...
he part at the top kind of written in marker-like gont is the part from Jim's journal. The rest of the text is a more detailed explanation of the entry written (presumably) by Karen Falk, Craig Shemin, et al. it is fascinating to see a lot of it.
I love the picture of Jane, Don, and Jerry...
Re: Boober quote: Where is that quote from? I don't remember that, but I LOVE it!
RE: Katy Perry and boober: New Line said they wanted the movie to be 'edgy"

The main difference is that it's on a children's tv show. A show that I feel comfortbaly watchign with my daughter and can leave for a minute to run to the bathroom, get a drink of water, change the laundry without having to worry about what my daughter will be exposed too. And while there is...
hey gang,
I gotta say I back SW on this decision. I like breasts as much as the next guy but that dress was, in my opinion, a bit too revealing for a show directed at 3-5 year olds.
We're not talking about politico groups here. We're not talking about network censors. We are talking...
