I've just finished Mostly Harmless, the 5th book in the HitchHiker's trilogy(!). Of course, I've read the books at least once every couple years for about 15 years now, so I well acclamated to them and they're fast reads in general. One of the great things about Adams' books are that they still...
I'm sort of learning this whole web comic thing as I go and I'm learning from my mistakes and adding and modifying as budget and time allow, but I know I've still got a ways to go. For what it's worth, though, here's what I've learned in my three months of web comicing.
I've found that closed...
Maybe it's just the EB Games near me, but it seems like they're dropping all action figure lines. Each time I go into my friendly local EB Games, the shelf space dedicated to figures is that much smaller. It might just be my area demographic, though.
You know, between Target's cancellation and TRU's much-less-than-spectacular selection of the toys I do worry about the line. The toy sales are pretty much a niche online market-base, it seems. Or maybe it's just the stores around me. All three nearby TRU's only have a discounted Wave 1 Miss...
My understanding was that particular paint scheme was going to be an exclusive. I can't find anything on the site that confirms this, though, so I may just being going insane.
Oh, oh! Here's an idea! You can use the broken figs as accident victims from Dr. Bunsen Honeydew's experiments or Dr. Phil Van Neuter's unique "doctoring" skills. And when all the Vetrinary Hospital figs come out then things like "broken ear" could be the symptoms that Doctor Bob has to fix...
Well, I got my Muppet MTI toys and Adventure Kermit today (a week after ordering them) and everything is in perfect condition--including the packaging (as I know that matters to some). So, yeah, great prices and turnaround on the items. KillerToys is the first toy store in quite a while that's...
When my last Link figure broke--and doing webcomics with figs will lead to broken figs--I followed a very similar path as you, Cap. Since I wanted to add to the cast of Pork Factor 9 I decided to work on a "Mirror Universe" (you Trekkies know what I'm talkin' 'bout) Link, aka Ham Singular...
I'll let you know if the site's reliable in a week or so. They had Adventure Kermit and some great prices on a few others I'd been missing. I had to order! So, if anyone's wary, just use me as their pig from New Guinie and I'll review the shipping time/packaging quality/etc. once everything...
Blister-packed Chefs? Now that I've started in the intrepid hobby of figure customizations, I may have to pick up a few of those! And Pops is a welcome addition, too! Series 9 is approaching and yet I'm still more excited about Series 10 what with Doctor Bob, Uncle Deadly and Sal being in the...
Wow, these models are looking better and better with each season of production! ...I don't know if I can wait until this year's 4th quarter to get an Uncle Deadly (and Doctor Bob) for my own. I might have break in and steal the prototypes!
Heh. I know the feeling. At first I was only going to buy the Muppet figures that I was going to use in the Pork Factor 9 web-comic, but every time I make an order an extra couple Muppet figures come along for the ride. The only thing that's slowing me down is a lack of room for displaying them all.
I'll hop on the Clueless Morgan bandwagon, too. I've not been planning on getting the MTI figs, but I'd change my mind if Morgan came out. I'd also change my mind if there was an MTI playset (with Spa'am, perhaps?) or a Dead Tom fig. :)
I saw Hellboy last night. Great flick! I've been pleasantly suprised with the comic book movies lately (with the possible exception of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). If they can take a somewhat less main-stream comic like Hellboy and not only remain faithful to the comic but also do such a...
With the release of Fozzy from "Bear on Patrol," I'm hoping that Pallisades has plans for a Link Hogthrob in police uniform as well. And as for characters not yet covered... I agree with Rowlf we need a Bobo the Bear and a Bean Bunny. Or at least, I need.
