cool--snuffy should have his turn in the spotlight, too :) and i like the idea of telling the stories of those individual characters whose histories have been parts of the storyline. maria & luis, gina, and baby bear would be good for that, too.
what's the name of that song?
i was looking at my sesame street song book sheet music today. and they have an index of titles and an index of first lines, in case you can't remember the titles. it cracked me up to see "La de da de dum, la de da de dum" because if you can't remember the name of...
wow...what IS inside a muppet's head? jim built frank a bert for christmas once where you could look inside the eyes and see a picture of frank oz naked...i don't think that's the answer you're looking for, but you should totally start a thread with that question--just think of the crazy fun...
awwww that's such an adorable picture! :) i love how elmo slung over your arm so he's facing away from the camera--truly held like a favorite toy that you drag everywhere.
definitely. and an anniversary celebration isn't just reliving the past, it's celebrating that they're STILL GOING STRONG and doing wonderful things for yet another generation of kids. that should feature some characters we love, old and new, doing new things. i'd be happy if there wasn't a...
yeah, more episodes would be great. and it's nice to have physical dvds with nice packaging where you can pop in a full episode--that is a unique offering of the old school sets, so they should definitely continue them through the 80s & early 90s.
but it also seems that there is another need...
okay, there are 18 tracks--so it looks like i could either upload one file at a time, copy each link and post it here...or if you send me your e-mail address i can upload five files at a time and sendspace will send you an e-mail with the links. that sounds a little easier, so would you mind...
i just gotta say that the title of this clip makes me laugh every time i see it! :hungry:
sorry to hear about your computer, though. it's so frustrating when they break! mine went through a phase in may when it would crash and i'd spend 3 hours on the phone with the help people, forced to...
i'm pretty new here, so i don't know you guys online as well as you all do, but i want to meet everyone, too! it would be nice to talk to people in person about muppets for a change--none of my real world friends or family are muppet fans. i'm probably going with my cousin, so most of my day...
today i saw two people walking down the sidewalk talking, wearing harnesses that held big cardboard thought bubbles above their heads. i forget what one of them said--something about "i'm lying about my...", and the other one said "i read my husband's e-mail"
i love this one--the phonebook alphabet. caroll's portrayal of a child's excitement over the seemingly mundane is spot on. and then there's the references to ss people's last names...i heard five of them--am i missing any?
yeah, it's amazing what they can do with puppets and voices--you never need to know the language to understand and and enjoy the clips. and i'm picking up german and dutch words all the time from them! sw clearly understands their universality, as they've got so many dubs and coproductions...
awesome thread! i agree with most of the ages so far. i, too, see statler & waldorf in their late 80s (though i don't know if it matters because they probably can't remember), and zoot in his late 50s (he probably can't remember either).
but i see pepe as older, more like 38, even 43...still...
hmm....SS first, then MTI when that came out introduced me to all the movies, then TMS. how i'm a CTW fan was SS then Square One TV. despite being a child of the 80s, i never watched FR or MB--i was never into tv. never was and still am not into creature shop fantasy stuff--that type of...
hmm...good question. i don't know. while we're on the topic, of muppet dogs and muppet pets...all the muppet dogs here (and barkley and sprocket) act like animals. now of course not all muppet dogs act like animals, rowlf of course, and renatta scotti from episode 3723 (who looks to be the the...
as much as i would love more classic clips and cast/crew memories, they're always the same ones. which they kind of have to be. you can't deny that goodbye mr. hooper, kermit singing green, and the celebrity put down the duckie are ss at its best. but we don't need every anniversary and every...
aww, thanks, ISNorden! yeah, i wish we could have kermit back, too. and i wish some of the other old muppets could make some guest appearances. ah, well, at least they've all created such well-formed characters we all know so well that we can see and hear them in our heads. i'm going to go...
that's adorable! i don't remember this episode in particular, as it was a season or two after i stopped watching, but i do remember Preposterous, the groucher-spaniel, and i don't think i've seen him in any other clips on youtube or the ss video player. thank you so much for sharing the clip...
i know, it's kind of like ranking your friends and family...there are some you click with more than others, and sometimes it depends on your mood, but it doesn't feel quite right when you put it in terms of "favorites" because you love them all in different ways for different reasons
