What sketches scared you as a kid?

Are there any dvds that contain these scary, dada-esque scenes? I am interested in watching them again. The one that majorly scared me was the pbs logo with the tri colored pbs heads. The synthesizer would go "bliiiiiiiiiiing-de-de-DE-deeeeeeeee". That's the only one I have on vhs. I also have 3...

    Ominous Sesame Street skit.

I think a lot of the 70's educational programming was odd. Examples: -the pbs closing logo with the scary metallic synth(I love watching it now though heh cuz its so freaky) -many of the electric company skits, like the music to spidey, the 2001 space odyssey skits, the silhouettes, the...

What was on the original airing of "Put Down the Duckie?"

Which dvd should I get: Follow that Bird or PDTD? I am interested in vintage Sesame Street that follows the old SS format(street scene, songs, sketches, opening n closing music).

    When you outgrew Sesame Street...

I don't get teased for liking "Sesame Street". I wear my Elmo face shirt a lot(wore it onstage last week n got compliments) and my Bert n Ernie "Math is Fun" shirt. I have 2 SS dvds and a hidden Elmo's World dvd lol. I also have an Elmo plush(aww heh) and I got a birthday card with Elmo on the...

    WANTED: Sesame Street Unpaved

Differences in Sesame Street then and now

I personally feel that the problem can be solved if there could be either a channel that would show vintage ss, fraggle, muppet babies, etc.,or have vintage ss on dvd, vhs, etc. A lot of longtime SS fans (myself included) would be thrilled to have vintage SS on dvd. The Sesame dvds that are...

Your Thoughts: What's the Name of that Song? DVD

I really enjoyed this dvd more than the 25th anniversary. The "street" scenes were overall entertaining but I thought the floating numbers and letters were kinda cheesy. I really enjoyed many of the songs, but I wish that the REM "Furry Happy Monsters" could have been shown in full or the new...

Your Thoughts: What's the Name of that Song? DVD

I wish there was a sesame dvd with a lot of old clips and sketches. Closest thing I have to it is the ss 25th anniversary dvd. If you already have the 25th anniv, is the new dvd worth purchasing? :sympathy:

    Who remembers this?

Does anyone remember the old clip of the eskimo kid and his grandfather where they go fishing? At the end of the clip, the kid says "Me and my grandfather love to eat fish". That's one of the earliest clips I saw on Sesame.

Your Thoughts: What's the Name of that Song? DVD

Who are the celebrities/Muppets on each song? I wish they had "Share" or "What is a Friend?" on there.
