Which dvd should I get: Follow that Bird or PDTD? I am interested in vintage Sesame Street that follows the old SS format(street scene, songs, sketches, opening n closing music).

I'll answer one of those questions with certainty.
Kermit tried to get an answer from Oscar on what he liked about public television. Oscar didn't like anything PBS had to offer. Kermit gave up and alerted us that they were heading to a pledge break, which Oscar liked the sound of, because pledge breaks interrupt the show, and there's lots of phones ringing drowning out the person who's trying to speak.

After the pledge break, Oscar told us that he taped the pledge break to watch all the time. He said he was a lucky grouch... just before he banged his head on the trash can lid.

Oscar and Count chased Donahue in the Sloppy Jaloppy and the Count said "Quick! Follow that controversial talkshow host!" It kinda just cuts after that, to my recallection.

The DVD has the reedited version without Pee Wee in it, right?

Do you mean to say that segment isn't on the DVD? Well, that doesn't surprise me...but that was one of my favorite parts of the special, and one of the ones I most vividly remember...that and "Put Down The Duckie," which was also great!
