We're thinking along the same lines! I also love it when there's a choir, especially in something like The Lord of the Rings. A full-blown choir and orchestra adds something to a film that nothing else could. "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" does have very good music! I also love the...
This sequel is way better than the original...really. It keeps you interested a lot better and the characters are even better! The story is really awesome, though. And the cinematography is much improved, I think.
Film music is one of the things I can't get over. I mean, it's great if you see a phenomenal movie, but it's a whole different thing if you go see a phenomenal movie with phenomenal music!
This thread is to discuss which soundtrack(s) and/or film composer(s) are your favorite! Here's a few...
I agree with you on both of those...I just watch the preview for Catwoman at the theater and it didn't look very good. Seriously, where are all the original ideas? Hollywood has about used up the bank of characters.
Wow, that's awesome, and so is the song! I saw Spider-Man 2 at midnight! Definitely worth the wait in line. It is a very, very good movie. The soundtrack is also very awesome. "Ordinary" is track 2...very good, if I remember! I'll have to go listen to it now!
I'd love to see this movie made, but I guess we have to wait for King Kong to be finished first. But on Gimli's father, I don't think it would work to have John Rhys-Davies play his father. That would be weird. Nothing against John, it's just that he already plays two roles in the...
I didn't ever see Moulin Rouge, so I couldn't help with the questions. A Very Merry Muppet Christmas was my least favorite of the Muppet movies to date. I really didn't like it...
I love the humor in the first three muppet movies as well. Turn at the fork in the road...I'm hopping mad...Fozzie trying to crack jokes..."drinks on the house!"...
You know what else I've realized? Movies usually have one or two really good lines that stick with you...the Muppet movies are...
Yeah, most of the new Disney shows are junk. Speaking of upcoming films I don't want to see...or am hesitant. I, Robot looks really stupid. I read the book, by Isaac Asimov, which is really cool. But the movie looks to be about the opposite of the book. Just an excuse for a special-effects...
Yeah, I love them too! That's a good question...of course, Haley's getting older now, so he wouldn't have the same type of role. But I can't wait for The Village!
That's great! Sounds like you had a good time! :) But I agree on the bathrooms/showers. I went camping a few weeks ago and they had SO many dead bugs on the bathroom floor. It was really pretty disturbing...but I got over it.
I loved The Day After Tomorrow! But maybe that's because I connected so much with the characters. I can see how you wouldn't, and if you don't have any connection with them it would be a stupid show. But just because it has awesome special effects doesn't mean it's a terrible movie. Some...
A new, completely original trilogy (not based on anything that is already out there). A high-quality trilogy (like LOTR), only it wouldn't be based off a book, ride, or anything. A new film icon! It seems that Hollywood lacks original ideas today, for the most part.
That would be cool to sell screenplays to Hollywood in a way, but I guess if they totally messed up your story it wouldn't. But I can't decide what the hardest part about filmmaking is. Writing, directing, scoring, or shooting it! They're all pretty hard! For me, it's probably the writing...
