I remember those skits. The announcer kept saying that Prairie was going to have an adventure, but Prairie insisted that the things she'd be doing weren't adventrues. They were things like trying a kumquat and turning the TV off after she was done watching it. Hope this is helpful.
I like the one where Ernie was trying to make a shopping list but couldn't find a pen or pencil, so he ended up using a paint brush and chocolate pudding. Another of my favorites was where Ernie put the volume control from the radio and put it on Bert. Those were funny skits.
You've come to the right place. There are many people here who collect episodes. Some of them post what they have on this forum. Read those posts to find out more.
I must admit, I'm psyched about this new channel. I'm very fortunate that Comcast is my cable provider. I hope they do show old SS episodes that weren't shown on Unpaved. And I hope it doesn't have the same effect as Noggin and be forced to change formats. That'd drive me out of my mind. Can't...
I don't know if you could find a recording of the song, but if you can stand for just the music, you can probably find it on some classical recordings. It's based on Fugue No. 2 from the Well-Tempered Klavier by J.S. Bach.
I liked the one where Nanny was making paste for the new wallpaper in the kids' bathroom and the kids kept thinking it was a food that they would have to try. That was a good episode.
Hey, I own the "Sesame Street Unpaved" book and it says in Sonia Manzano's section that the real Gabriella left the show after starting kindergarten because she didn't like to be the center of attention. Not to be rude or anything, but I've personally spoken to the author of that book and he...
I actually loved this skit. It was especially funny when Grover was saying that to properly care for your teeth, you should eat crunchy foods like bananas. Kermit then tells Grover that bananas are not crunchy. I love to quote that to my friends at school.
DTF, here's the scoop:
Desiree Casado didn't come on board until sometime in the middle of the 90s. Orginally, Gaby was played by Sonia Manzano's real life daughter, Gabriella Reagan, who left the show after she started kindergarten. Hope this is helpful. By the way, I have a crush on Desiree...
Here's my stab at a skit about Unpaved's cancellation.
It is 1:00 AM. Ernie and Bert are in their beds. Bert is sound asleep, but Ernie is awake as usual. Ernie goes to wake Bert up.
Ernie: Bert! Hey, Bert!
Bert: What is it, Ernie? It's 1:00 in the morning and I'm trying to sleep...
I remember Hiroshi. He was played by Gedde Watanabe, who many people know as Nurse Yosh Takata on ER. I remember many episodes with him from back in the day.
Well, the timing is a little late on this, but I'll post it anyway. Sesame Street did indeed have a skit called Mysterious Theatre hosted by Vincent Twice, Vincent Twice, but the aforementioned alphabet song is from a totally different skit altogether. The alphabet song is from a skit called...
I would really like to have episode 2614. Mikealan or anyone else who has it, could you please make a copy for me and make me the happiest kid on earth?? There are some episodes containing favorite sketches that I also would like. Someone please help me out.
I remember this skit. It didn't take place in Ernie and Bert's apartment, but behind one of those brick walls. What happened was Ernie had a bunch of cookies that he didn't want Cookie Monster to get at, so he locked them up in a safe. Hope this is helpful.
I didn't know Oscar used his car for a cab service. Weird. Anyway, if anyone has these clips I named, please post a reply here. These are clips that I would really like, so let me know if you've got them.
Hello,
there are some classic SS sketches/episodes I am looking for. They are as follows:
Muppets - Grover works in a clothes store
Muppets - Kermit and Grover talk about teeth
Song - Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Paul Simon perform the African Alphabet Song (was also done with Kermit and...
