The fact of the matter is that it is adults who are buying the food. Not the kids, generally speaking. If you don't want your kids to eat junk food then don't buy it! Padlock the pantry! Make the fridge off limits!
I know it has to feel like murder not to give in to your child's crying and...
I agree. I love it when he can balance the two. I like to think that even mature characters and people can still have their moments of chaos.
Actually, even though it's not a fan favorite as far as movies go, Muppets From Space defiantly had some chaotic Gonzo moments... The scene that takes...
As much as I adored the Gonzo/Camilla sub-plot, I kinda miss the more excitable Gonzo. He did seem concerned over Camilla's predicament, but (probably due to the fact that Gonzo has mellowed out much more over the past 20 years or so) he didn't seem as pushed as I wish he could have been...
I see where you're coming from. I don't think that Piggy comes off as being dumb. But that's just me. I do think that Piggy and Kermit haven't really had the same connection for years, but I do think there is still something there.
I agree with the above statement. It's not perfect by any means, but it seems so much better than the first Studio DC so far. And yay! Camilla is there! .... Sort of.
Edit: Okay, so after watching the whole thing, I must say I wasn't disappointed. I wish there were more Scooter, but I was just...
I don't really think jokes the Muppets have done recently are really all that horrible. Well, not in comparison to other so called "family friendly" programs out there. I think Piggy is easy to make jokes for though. Not simply fat jokes, but jokes that focus on her demanding, diva personality...
I think that the logic is that when these idol worshiping kids see their favorite celebrities with the Muppets, they figure "Oh, so-in-so likes them, so they must not be so bad." I don't know though. I know kids can be flaky, but I don't think kids are stupid... most of the time.
Needless to...
I sort of thought she sounded more Grover-ish than normal on her appearance on The View. Not that I didn't like the appearance, but she sounded weird to me.
As for the DC clip, I don't really know what to think of it.
I really adore your cartoony style and ability to pull off interesting traditional daily styled comic strips! I love comic strips, but have discovered I work best in page format. My heart still lies with the four panel, daily strips though and I applaud your great cartooning talent.
So cute! I love the expressions.
I recommend writing the text first and then drawing the word balloons. Your handwriting is nice though, I think. It just needs some room to breathe.
Hilarious/fun parody, Convincing John. :D
I can only really get into the Christmas mood after Thanksgiving. I think that despite its over commercialized problems in recent years, it's still a charming holiday and the whole month of December makes me happy.
I don't know... Like a cliché, I...
Scooter defiantly needs to be bought back to his major character status. I always thought he was always such a vital part of the Muppet Show, and then it seemed as though after the Muppet Show, he was slowly cast to the side. After Richard Hunt's death, we know he hardly appeared at all for...
Okay, I didn't know that about the special schools. I'm a southern country girl from the middle of nowhere, so I wasn't aware of that.
Sesame Street has taught me something. XD
I hope I don't come off as being too negative about CG. Just as with traditional animation, live action, puppetry, stop animation or whatever, if it has a good story and message, I'll probably love it. I really do like that the JHC is working with different mediums and I think that Jim would...
Good news: Friday's episode came on this morning for my station. I guess the episodes were mixed up.
As I thought I would, I liked the art school segment.
Something that bugs me about the Murray Has a Little Lamb segments... Aren't the "schools" they visit more like classes or after school...
The Animaniacs certainly featured catchy music, but I'm not thinking about music itself as much as the whole opening. Everything form music to animation to theme.
It seems as though anime do much more with closing themes than American cartoons do. And with shows like Pokemon, closing themes change often, at least in Japan. It's interesting to look at those closings that never make it to the states. And the closings in Amercian cartoons are so short. are...
Indeed. There's something to be said about enjoying the foundations of storytelling and themes that have been used in storytelling since what I assume have been around since the dawn of storytelling.
