Not all of the SNL crowd hated the muppets. Chevy Chase seemed to like them: he appeard in (and apparently wrote) the majority of the later Gorch segments. John Belushi on the other hand...
Terry,
Here's to hoping the radiation therepy works, and best of luck and condolences to your family.
As for my question:
If you were trying to introduce Fraggle rock to someone who :gasp: had never seen the show, what episodes would you recomend as good beginning episodes (apart from...
Has anyone noticed that in the Sherlock Homes sketch, Piggy's lipsynch is really off? Frank is voicing both Piggy and Gorgon Heap in the scene, for some reason (none of Richard's characters are in the scene, so why couldn't he have performed Piggy?) and whoever is doing the actualy pupptry on...
Yeah, I really want to know what Piggy's little admission is, too!
I really love this chapter, Lisa. I love how you write Kermit and Rowlf's interaction...I love it when they do. (My fic-in-progress focuses on them.) I love how you write Miss Mousey, too. In fact, I just love how you write.
His act with Chuckie the dummy, and his utter desperation when Chuckie doesn't talk is my personal favorie. Anoher of my favorites is the Diana Ross Episode:
"Hiya hiya hiya hiya!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
"Bya Bya Bya Bya!"
classic.
Yeah, but he seems unually out to get Piggy. His jokes at Fozzie's and Kermit's expense are nowhere near as cruel. And remember when she got turned to stone? He lit a match on her!
For my money, Sam is has one of his all-time funniest lines in the Steve Martin episode of TMS: "For one brief moment, there was light at the end of the tunnel."
Have you ever just stared at a thread in disbelief and wondered: what kind of crowd have I fallen in with?
Oh, and Kermit has trouble bike-riding because he never learned as a child. There are no bike paths in the swamp.
She doesn't call out "Nigel", but I thought she did for a long time. According to the subtitles of the First Season Box sets, she's yelling "Manager", and rewatching has confirmed this. It makes a lot more sence that way.
It's pretty obvious that the two are close. Not as close as Fozzie and Kermit, maybe, but there is a definete friendship cemented between the two. Just like the friendship between Fozzie and Rowlf...Not shown on screen as much, but they seem pretty chummy on the Muppet Show when Kermit and Piggy...
It was the Bouncing Borcellini Brothers. (Episode 107: Florence Henderson).
We've also seen the Swedish Chef's uncle (Danny Kaye!)
Could Sal be a distant cousin of Quango the wild Mountain Gorilla?
We've done Fozzie's best moments, so I was thinking., Why not Piggy's? My canidate for her all-time funniest moment is the little scene she has with John Denver in his episode of TMS. The expressions Frank pulls out of the Piggy Puppet are just amazing. You forget your watching a puppet. The...
