My guess would be the potentially disturbing nature of someone being sawed in half has kept it from becoming too popular. At least that's what the censors would say.
(Anybody else remember where on the show Freakazoid a lady pops in
"Hello, kiddies, I'm the network censor..." and an anvil is...
turning a blog into a book? Hmm...something us "impoverished" internet junkies should consider if we want a creative way to make money. Unfortunately, I suppose if every dedicated blogger decided to do that, the book market would be inundated with these..."blooks", are we calling them? But, I...
That makes sense. For some reason I don't think out those sort of things as much, but it makes sense. (Or maybe they just put up with him..."Well, everybody else around here is a bit of a loon, what harm could one more do?"...)
Off-color and inappropriate as it is, I must applaud that show for it's originality and pretty good parodies. I don't like that show, but I like that about it.
Nice to hear that Kermit is still sought to be featured in things.
It needs to be a little warmer here in Rockford. I wanna go look for frogs with my girlfriend, because frogs are beatiful, and something I absolutely love to see and hear in the spring. Sorry, off-topic, but whether it's warm enough for frogs to be lurking about sort of is...hmm...
Sheesh, I go home where I cannot get online as often, and the thread I started gets out of hand. This is what I did not want to happen. I personally don't care that the topic of the thread shifted. That happens, life is screwy that way. I have nothing against people trying to discover and...
I am glad we decided not to turn this into an argument. I don't like it when folks want to argue about something out of spite or a desire to cause trouble, (even religion and theology, which is something that needs to be disscussed by all), and I thought for a while that that was what was...
Bill the Bubble Guy's post has set me thinking again. I don't like to offend people, but if that has to be done to blow the lid on something that the lid needs to be blown off of, then it should be done (I'm not saying I think these allegations are true or not, I'm simply saying what I think)...
Did anyone see this show? I'd like to know about a stage version of that musical...it'd be a tough one to pull off.
If I was in it, I'd wanna be the Navy guy on the roof who has the cannon fired on the hour...
My current favorite:
Dr. Bob: "What do we have here, another sick chicken?"
Patient: "I'm not a chicken, I'm a duuuck!"
Nurse Janice: "Shall we begin the operation on the chicken?"
Patient: "DUCK!"
*all three duck*
I concur with those who dislike the commercials. I don't mind the muppets being used in the pizza hut commercials. It's just that the current commercials are so insipid.
The thing that really made me mad was their ruining of "These Boots are Made for Walkin'" by Nancy Sinatra. Commercials...
By English I meant poets from England. Sorry if that was unclear.
Although, I do have to agree on Longfellow, his work is brilliant and timeless. "The Skeleton in Armor" is one of my favorite poems. Sometime, when I am married and I have a room with a large bookshelf, I hope to have a copy of...
Pigboy, I disagree. Suffering can bring one closer to God, it's just that that simply depends on how you deal with suffering.
(What are you, TRYING to offend people? I wanted to start discussion, not an argument.)
Well, my point is not that Mother Theresa's attractiveness or unattractiveness is making them consider Hilton for the role, my point is that they are picking someone who might as well be the opposite of everything Mother Theresa stood for. It would be like having Chuck Heston play someone who...
I just caught this on yahoo news...apparently Paris Hilton is being considered for the role of Mother Theresa in a movie. That's even more ludicrous than the time I read that someone on a forum thought Britney Spears was more talented than Frank Sinatra.
Here's the story...
I love that show, especially the ones that they made before Tarkovsky left the show ("Libretto" is definitely a favorite episode, along with the one with el Chupacabra [Dee Dee: "If you made him to scare me, then why does he eat goats?" Dexter: "I never said it was a completely successful...
I like Nigel; his remarks can be caustic yet funny (and, in my view as a musician, his personality is quite like the typical conductor). Who or how did the whole thing of him being wimpy get started?
Apologies if I am stating the obvious or saying what has already been said, but from what I've read these videos were meant to encourage interactions between parents and children; it wasn't meant to simply be viewed.
(I think I might have read this on this forum somewhere...)
