I'm not sure that this counts as a sketch, but I can't help laughing at the part during the "Bedtime Stories and Songs" video (which is probably out of print now) where Telly is sleeping over Big Bird's nest and he keeps naming all the stuffed animals he can't sleep without. I never fell for...
I haven't seen that episode either, but when I was reading D'Snowth's post, I thought it was ironic that Oscar had a penpal named Felix and I was pretty sure (like you said, Daffyfan2003), that it had something to do with "The Odd Couple." That is a great play; I was in it in Nov. 2004 as...
My favorite Cookie Monster moment has to be on the "Don't Eat the Pictures" video where Cookie tries to eat what he sees in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (but Bob points out a sign in the museum that says "Please don't eat the pictures," Cookie promises not to eat anything, and he sings a song...
Hi MrsPepper, I used to have a tape called "The Best of Sesame Street," but I'm not sure if I still have it...I think it may have gotten handed down to one of my little cousins, but it had some good songs on it--a lot of classics. I think it was given away at a time when I didn't really...
the only one I'm really familiar with is Maria telling "The King's Problem." She looks so young when you see her onscreen introducing it! I know that the "Bedtime Stories and Songs" video (the only audio evidence of SS that I still have) was released in 1986 and is probably out of print by...
On the topic of Telly going into a massive worrying freak-out, I also like the part on "Sesame Street Stays Up Late" (the New Year's special) where Telly freaks out about the year changing and declares Sesame Street a "No Party Zone." anyone remember that?

Hi everyone,
Telly was never really one of my favorite characters, but I just find it so funny during the part in the "Bedtime Stories and Songs" video (i know, I've mentioned that a lot, but it's the only SS video I still have!) where Telly is supposed to sleep over Big Bird's nest and he's...
The video I am talking about is "Bedtime Stories and Songs." I don't think it's available any more since it was originally released in 1986 (3 years before I was born) and may be out of print.

hey, i used to have a book called "meet mr. snuffleupagus" but I'm not sure what happened to it..maybe one day i should go thru all the old books I loved as a child (that are stored in bags somewhere in my basement or in a closet in my family room) and see if I can find it. i was never an avid...
the waiter sketches with fat blue are funny, as is the one on the "bedtime stories and songs" video where grover is under the covers pretending to be on the moon...anyone remember that?
~Dana~
I'd have to say Gordon because Roscoe Orman is a great actor (and SS is the only show on which I've seen him act) and he has a wonderful singing voice....he can harmonize very well!
~Dana~
Daffyfan, I remember the one with the baby eating the cookie and Cookie Monster doing the voiceover! I never got that as a child....I'd like to find transcripts of some of the inserts/sketches, so do you know where I could find them?
~Dana~
