    Favorite News Flash Sketches

The News Flash sketch I remember liking during my childhood was the one that must've been a spin-off on The Princess and the Pea (but it wasn't "The Princess and the Cookie") where the Princess turns into a frog at the end...can anyone tell me the name of this one? ~Dana~

The first thing you ever remember seeing on Sesame

that's kind of tough to determine...I'm now 16 years old and can vaguely remember seeing "Wet Paint" by How Now Brown Cow and the Moo Wave sometime in the early '90s. Must've been 1991 or 1992, because it was before my brother was born (and he was born in 1992). So, I was about 2 or 3 when I saw...

They should make a "25 Most Popular Songs" DVD

That's the problem, the younger generation hasn't been exposed to all the classic songs! They should definitely show more of them on the current season of SS. ~Dana~

Were any of these songs/skits ever shown on TV?

I believe "Somebody Come and Play" was shown on TV to a film of baby tigers looking for playmates (note: very vague memory). ~Dana~

What sketches scared you as a kid?

hey If I were alone in the room, I would shut the TV right off if I saw that ominous pair of lips on the screen, but if my mom or dad (or both parents) were in the room, they'd force me to watch it... ~Dana~

    Classic PBS commercial

I've never seen it either, but I'm sure my mom or dad may have seen it. My dad was already 9 by the time SS started airing, but my mom (who was 6 when SS started airing) used to watch it with the kids she babysat for. ~Dana~

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I was particularly scared by the lips at the beginning of the segment and the angry countenances on Maria's and Gina's faces throughout the whole thing. How about you? ~Dana~

What sketches scared you as a kid?

wow, Soul H! I believe the last time I saw it on the show was in early 1997 and I was still jittering! My mom had to squeeze me between her knees to try to get me to watch SS and conquer my fear of it (and the fear was caused by having seen "The Word is No" when I was 3 years old and it scaring...
