personally i hated muppets tonight, and the main reason was because Kermit was'nt host, and it was just so crappy, i did'nt have any decent elements that the Muppet show had

yeh thatsm a point, but what about characters like beau, dave is still around performing, but i have'nt really seen Beau perform fully since the muppet show years. And its the same with Lew Zeland, Marvin suggs, thog, Crazy harry, i mean Jerry and Frank have just recently gone, they were there...

i see it like this, if say Jim carey died and some film company wanted to make a Jim Carrey movie and they go find a guy that looks and sounds abit like Jim carrey, and they ask him to star as Jim carrey in the film, of course it would'nt be good, its like this with the muppets, Jim is sadly...

I'm not trying to be all pesamistic, but let the muppets retire, i mean that, what is the point of letting marketing tychoons drag them on, and on and on, i would be very very sad if they retired but it is the best possible thing for the muppets.

Plus, it being a british show, it was a big part of the culture. So I'd say that the Muppets belong pretty equally to both parts. well said that man, nice point Mrs Pepper, the Americans and British hold up the muppet flag together as one

in Britain in the seventies, there was a weekly magazine that came out for kids, it was called "Look-In-Juniour Tv Times" and a t the back it would show all the kids shows that would be on the followin week, shows like sesame street, Muppet show, Hong Kong Phooey, Banana Splits, Magic Roundabout...

i wonder if i could here your stories, of how you got into the muppets. I myself was born nine years after the last season so the show is'nt my era, but as a kid i grew up with a daddy muppet fan and a mummy muppet fan, and i never played with my toys but with my dads old fisher price muppet...

Hi guys, i recently bought 7 sesame street PVC figures on ebay.uk, when they arrived i was slightly puzzeled, they are probably from the early on years of sesame street, the figures are bert, betty-lou, franklin, herry monster, grover, and oddly enough Rowlf and a watnot in a trilby and trench...

i don't know, its not shown on TV that often, it is just very, very popular over here, merchandise is avaliable and DVD's. the only way i got into the muppets was because of y parent s, i was born nine years after the show was on TV, my dad passed his kermit toys and love for the show onto me
