Thanks! I am using the chicken for an internet project for the child in all of us. I spent some time playing around with materials fro the control rod and came with this one. I also have another design that uses a different type of spring and is smaller. I will post some photos of that one...

Hello, It has been awhile since last posting. I was working on these chicken head puppets and then all of sudden I had a ton of concept work to do for a company. Done now and back to the chickens..... At the time I alos stated I would put together some tutorials on how I made a Rod puppet...

.....as mentioned Flex-foam from smooth on. I have used this for a substitute for foam latex, "no heat" required, and yes it is very sticky as stated. I have used molds made out of Autobody filler, fiberglass, plaster, and slicone. !!!IMPORTANT..Make sure your surface of your molds are sealed...
