Did anyone see the Muppets at the Grammys last night? During the pre-show, I could see Kermit and PePe interviewing people. I wonder what, if anything, they are planning to do with those clips? muppets.com?
With Steve, he's got the hair, the skinny profile, could possibly slightly pass with the "young Henson" look (add a beard) and makeup for the older Henson....it's really funny thinking about it. And of course if they actually get the rights to use the puppets, he's got that covered better than...
Although he's not an actor, I'd like to see Steve at least have a shot at it...there are many similarities between him and Jim, and he's got the puppet / voice part down.
I'm suprised no one has mentioned Jim Carey. He did such an amazing job as Andy Kaufman in Man on the Moon, and can do lots...
Talk to me . . . ha, I say that all the time. Or sometimes "talk to me teddy bear" ala the Bob & Tom skit, must be an Indiana thing.
Your fellow Hoosier also votes for hot glue gun based on your post.
Andrew recommended this one which I purchased and it is nice.
After seeing that HILARIOUS promo clip...this whole discussion over "I'm going to watch it" and "I'm not going to watch it" just seems silly. Who cares what it's called, or who the guest hosts are . . . this is Sesame Street and it looks really funny.
I can't believe how many liberal puppeteers are on here.
Let's discuss the bias of one tv station, or how about the liberal bias of the vast majority of the major media? Funny stuff.
Oh, and Alf rules.
Yeah, the kids (and even grumpy teenagers) were a lot more enthusiastic this year. Maybe because some of them have seen it a couple years in a row . . . who knows.
Thanks a lot for your comment. It's a big deal to me to post the videos on here (the only reason why I record it) and see what...
Well, it took me about a week but here it is. Some of you may remember my "Muppet Puppets on Halloween" post from last year. I couldn't wait for Halloween 2007 and it's already over. Of course I wasn't prepared, didn't come home from being on the road until a little after 6, scrambled to find my...
Yeah, bands will use a Shure SM58 for vocals and SM57 for instruments.
The guys at Guitar Center will tell you Sennheiser mics are a little better, but I'm wondering if they get a bigger commission, ha. For a "regular" vocal mic around $100 you can't beat a SM58.
You might be using the wrong kind of foam if the electric knife (turkey cutter) didn't work. John Kennedy uses that to get the general shape of the puppet, and then uses the dremel tool with sandpaper to get the details and smooth it down as staceyrebecca the pirate mentioned.
"I realized this show that the other characters were much more fun to do during the show and received more laughs as well."
Funny you say that, as when I did my first "puppet show" (non-paying birthday party for a good friend) I had an original character introduce each of my muppet puppets...
I think rtgentry has been around long enough to realize that, but always a good reminder.
Is that Oscar puppet from a recent ebay auction? If so, he looks better in your picture. That Elmo puppet is awesome! (I've seen your Kermit before which is very nice as well)
I wish we could see the...
