I mean I've found some funny refrences and stuff, but I think it's because the refrences are of this time. I mean I'm pretty sure I'd laugh-out-loud if I knew some refrences from TMM and MTM. I mean if I was born in 2050 and watched the film then, some of the refrences would'nt be funny.
Muppets Tonight (1996-'98) had some throwbacks to past muppet productions like in the Cindy Crawford episode where Bobo reads a newspaper with a commercial for MTI or in the Sandra Bullock episode where, again, Bobo puts the mad bomber on hold and rainbow connection is playing. Afterwards MFS...
MMW plummeted 53.1% in its 5th weekend to an estimated $48,318,000. While it didn't exactly hold well on Easter weekend, that can be attributed to it losing 1,332 theaters. It should at least get $50 million by the end of next weekend.
Wow, it's comparisons that make me thankful for Bill Barretta, Matt Vogel, Eric Jacobson, Dave Goelz, David Rudman, and Steve Whitmire. They're doing pretty good jobs.
Good news, this Friday MMW dropped a meager 16.3%, and should end the easter weekend with a good $1.5-$2.0 million. It'll have $48-$49 million in the bank by Sunday. Anyway even if this film doesn't make its budget back we still have Gonzo with the Wind which should be a box office hit.
Well now it's kind of apparent that Dave Goelz also wasn't a fan of MFS. I'm not sure if it was scripted or not, but if Dave liked MFS he would've said he's an alien.
If this were "The Mannets" then Gary and Mary would be in it. But, all jokes aside, no muppet movie human has ever appearred in two muppet films portraying the same character. The first time this has happened is with Hobo Joe.
Carol's passing 80 yrs. and he's still performing both Oscar and Big Bird. We know that the muppet performers aren't exactly spry chickens anymore, but that doesn't mean their characters are phasing out, sure MMW might be the last muppet film Dave'll work on sadly :( :sympathy:, but it's not...
To all those who disliked The Muppets (2011), I don't blame you. I mean I thought it was a decent film, but it wasn't made for we hardcore fans. The film wanred to re-introduce something, in my opinion, while good, it tryed to much to be hip and new. I can almost see the people making the film...
Nice, those little things could help the film, I also did the same thing during MMW's second weekend on Google+, heck type in Muppets Most Wanted and near the bottom of the first page you'll see "Robber Stoppers" and how this movie is awesome and stuff. Hope that encouraged people to watch it.
That's a good point, but I feel that Gonzo should be up there with the main ones and crucial to the plot. I don't want him to be all over the place like he was in MCC, MTI, and MFS, I mean I don't mind it but save room for others. I also don't want him being on the muppet bench like Robin and...
I simply can't understand why someone can hate a film that came out in '02 and then have basically a carbon-copy of it appear 9 years later and then give it CRITICAL ACCLAIM!!
Wow! Yesterday MMW got a lousy $250,365 on a typical weekday, BUT today MMW jumped a massive 103.3% to a total of $508,888! That's the biggest Mon. to Tues. jump of all the movies on the chart! It's not really something to celebrate about, but at least now it looks like MMW can reach $47 million...
Hooray, MMW reached $46 million domestically. The sad part is that even with that quite weak total it still ranks (unadjusted) 3rd out of all the puppet movies released in America! Seriously, no puppet movie unadjusted has evne passed $90 million domestically. Even when you adjust it TMM posts a...
I think this would be a really nice addition for a special feature
It may be a little short, but it's one heck of a good tribute for a video under 3 minutes.
