Yeah, I'm too young, but I happen to have such shows as The Andy Griffith Show, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Green Acres, and M*A*S*H all uncut on DVD without commercials.;)
Each member post three items at a time, all relating to something you feel isn't the same as it used to be. I'll demonstrate, here are the first three...
Remember when...
Steve Carrell was just a supporting actor and wasn't in every new movie?
"Half-hour" shows were 26 to 28 minutes...
Actually, I saw Recess: School's Out during the day when the theater was having a special $1 matinee, and an entire daycare group was in the theater on a field trip, but even they were more well behaved than LITTLE LITTLE kids.
Consumer Monster has been around for QUITE a few years now... I think I first stumbled upon the Consumer Monster site back in late 2003, early 2004, and thought the exact same thing about him being simply a yellow version of Cookie Monster with dollar-sign eyes instead of googly eyes.
To my knowledge, it changed about two times...
In the very first Monsterpiece Theater sketch "Upstairs - Downstairs", it looked as if he was simply hosting from a living room, and he was sitting in a rocking chair.
After that, he was hosting from a more simplistic version of the room when...
Yeah, I kind of agree... for pure laughs, Shrek the Third is tops in that category, but for overall story and writing, Shrek 2 is what you want, in my opinion.
And what really kills me is that someone started a rumor that Michael Richards was doing a voice in the movie, and suddenly everybody's like "so, does Michael Richards shriek about black people in this movie?", "Is Michael Richards a bee who hates black bees?"
GEEZ! THE MAN MADE A MISTAKE! HE...
I like to think so... I mean, if it wasn't for him, I probably would never have thought of persuing a career in puppetry, and I know other people have felt the same way.
That's EXACTLY what I've been saying! Usually, any non-Shrek film DreamWorks does just, somehow, never measures up to them, but I feel Bee Movie did just that!
Well, if it wasn't such a sin to have idols, then Jim would definitely be my idol!
But, yeah, my mom often compares me to a young, ambitious Jim Henson since I have such a passion for puppetry like this. Never felt quite the same towards cartooning, hence one reason why I 'retired' last summer.
Too true, this is a challenge I'm willing to accept.
My own experiences in television so far have been what all I've done for my local PBS station - I've served mostly as a cameraman when we tape some of our local TV shows, but I've also helped contribute to pledge drives, as I've stated...
Very good points, Jamie.
I agree with the what you said about casting, if I can help, I'm going to try to hire local talent for puppeteers: I have connects with a local puppeteer, who has connections with another puppeteer, who has connections with a puppet production company in Nashville, so...
