That's why I preach that ALL DVD companies should do this when they release movies out on DVD... that way EVERYBODY can be happy, and the people who love fullscreen who can't find them can be happy, or the people who love widescreen and can't find them can be happy.
That's why God invented headcleaners... to keep those machines lubed up to prevent stuff like that from happening.
That, and depending on how well kept the tape has been kept.
Mostly cutting out portions of the picture - you know, kind of like how you've been talking about about Ghostbusters widescreen vs. fullscreen, I've feel the same way about these widescreen DVDs because I've found it's always the black bars cutting out portions of the picture in "widescreen...
I swear, anytime I watch a movie on DVD in widescreen format, THAT'S how they turn out! THAT'S why I hate widescreen so much! THAT'S why I always INSIST on getting movies in fullscreen on DVD!
Unfortunately, SOME movies I've HAD to get on widescreen because there were no fullscreen versions...
