It's supposed to be some kind of special DVD that apparently can hold more "information" than a regular DVD, and is also supposed to give off an even better quality picture thant regular DVD (as if DVD quality isn't good enough for us).

To tell you the truth, I heard this was supposed to happen sooner... MUCH sooner (like 2006 or so), and because, like you mentioned, a lot of these songs you can simply download. Not to mention there's all kinds of MP3 trading threads on different forums, so yeah. Personally, I don't mind...
