As far as significant set changes are concerned, save for curving the street in 1970, the series of significant changes didn't really start until like 1988 or so with a simply change of the scenery in the backdrop behind the fence in the arbor, then it seems like afterwards, small changes kept...

For a puppet like Kermit, gasket rubber is always recommended for that flexibility... as for puppets like Oscar or Cookie, I honestly have no clue, I was always under the impression that they simply have cloth mouths.

Well gee, I mean it's not meant to be picture perfect, that's the artist's style, that's the way he draws... you have to really follow the comic (the whole series) to see that.

Well Ryan, the problem is anytime we try to have such a topic, one of the mods ends up closing/deleting in the blink of an eye... it's kind of gotten ridiculous too, this past fall thread closures were increasing to such proportions, that some members actually begged moderation to STOP closing...

Exactly, the show flowed much better in general with that change. Another reason too is with the departure of Jon Stone, because let's face it, he pretty much was the glue that held the show together... since then, Sesame Street went from being a realistic inner-city street like he wanted to...

Yeah... the format as well... it's like around the early 80s is when actual storylines for street scenes started becoming the norm, rather than various different street scenes in vignette style.

I tuned into Sprout today to watch SST, and was surprised to see episode 3983 ("Three Girl Monsters Who Really Love to Sing"); looks like we'll be seeing Season 33 on Sprout from now on. I hope they include David Allen Grier's Alladin episode in the syndication package.
