Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

I've killed this thread, lol. But surprisingly, after just two days of bad episodes from bad seasons, we're getting another good one today for a change, the original snowball episode; it's been great having so many good episodes on for a change, it's been doing wonders for my "morale" I have to...

BOO! The "What Scared You Today?" Thread

Crap... I meant to post this in the "I Saw Something Really Weird Today" Thread, not here. :o

    The Chipmunks

It's still interesting that a majority of the DiC episodes that have seen official DVD releases still retain the DiC logo, but none of th RS episodes on DVD do (the MWS episodes in syndication also had RS logos). But anyway, a good friend of mine managed to download the infamous "Sploosh"...

BOO! The "What Scared You Today?" Thread

Actually, this was about a week ago or so, but either way... One word: Wendy So, is the world coming to an end now?

    Paging Drtooth

Personally, I didn't think the Jackson 5ive cartoon was TOO bad, considering it was a departure for Rankin/Bass to do traditional animation, as opposed to their classic, choppy/shoddy stop-motion holiday specials... I think the one thing that killed the Jackson cartoon was they, like others in...

Earl Kress - In Memoriam of an MC Family Member

OMG, I can't believe this... I was just thinking about him the other day, I hadn't seen him on the forum as of late. I can't believe it, this is a shock. I am happy to say, however, that I did have the pleasure of speaking with him not too long ago regarding some matters in the world of the art...

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Wow! I mean seriously, WOW! We must have been on our best behavior, or PBS must have had mercy on us or something to just have five straight weeks of good episodes from good seasons for a change! Seriously, that's the longest period of time we've had such episodes in a loooooooooong time, we...

    How Times Have Changed...

Remember back in the old days when big A-list movie stars were considered "too big", "too expensive", and even "too important" to even consider doing work for television? Like how if series were adapted from movies, the cast from the movie never reprised their roles for television, and...

    The Chipmunks

Yep, that's what I said earlier, they also had the likes of June Foray, Alan Young, Johnny Haymer... the MWS and DiC episodes had Ross and Janice's associate producer practically doing all of the voices, and he did not do very good ones. Honestly, neither did Ross for that matter, I know just...

    Paging Drtooth

I'm really surprised at half of what's on your list, considering you've named a number of modern-day CN cartoons, and most, if not all, CN cartoons these days are pure crap.

    The Chipmunks

Actually, now that I really think about it, there's another reason why I don't particularly care for the DiC episodes as much as the Ruby-Spears episodes: the writing. The Ruby-Spears episodes were really cleverly written for a Saturday morning cartoon series, my favorite example is the mock...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

Because it's too much of a coincidence that as soon as these videos are uploaded, they receive a thumbs down.

Now what's going on with YouTube?

I've actually been noticing something for a long time now: there seems to be some wiseass on YouTube who seems to always be intentionally disliking videos made by people like myself, Kevin, Oscarfan, Colbynfriends, and other MC puppeteers who post their work on YT.

    Turtlenecks

Just because you mentioned that, I'm reminded of a time I was at Walmart, and down the aisle I saw this rather vulupuous woman, and I SWEAR, from a distance, it looked her t-shirt actually read something other than "Got Books?" when I saw that's what it said up close. :o

    Project: Snowth - The Thread

I've recently been sort of reviewing scripts for Steve D'Monster & Friends, and the more I re-read them, the more I actually feel the need to retool them and rework them a bit, and all because of Bethany. I don't know, but in reading through them, and visualizing the scenes and sequences in my...

The best and worst uses of Flash animation

hat do you think Jim could've done with Flash? Granted, he was really into animation, and he was always experimenting with new methods and techniques... if Muppet Babies was done today, would it have been done in Flash? What else could Jim have brought us that would be Flash?

    Seven Little Monsters FOUND

I disagree, I think King of 8 is one of Jim's greatest earlier animated pieces... Queen of 6 I wasn't entirely impressed with, it seemed more like an attempt to recreate something that didn't need to be recreated.
