Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
Maybe in the old days, but nowadays, they actually tape/film/shoot episodes close to a whole year before it finally airs.
Caroll Spinney said in an interview once that they used to be able to tape two whole episodes in a single day: one in the morning, and one in the afternoon, but now it...
Probably never. "Normal" people who aren't necessarily even familiar with what it takes to actually perform a character think only of the "voice", which really isn't even half of the process it takes to perform such characters.
Yes, I'm just saying not ALL PBS affiliates still use their own bumpers and idents anymore, some just use standard/national promos with their station logo plastered on at the end; but yes, just about all PBS stations have their own different schedules and timeslots for the shows and everything.
Yeah, but not really to the same extent as they used to... within the last number of years or so, just about all PBS affiliates have kind of adopted the same promos and bumpers and stuff, and just simply chryon their respective station logo at the end.
Well... the thread you're talking about was pretty much a general discussion about the series, but a major aspect of the discussion was about how much the show has declined in the past several years or so...
As far as the classics go, really, I like just about any episode from the first four...
Boy oh boy, I sure have been enjoying August so far this year! I mean really, for the past several years, August is usually a terrible month for us, like take last year for example: we didn't have a single cloud in the sky all month long, and the temps were ranging from 105 to 115F (40 to 46C)...
I remember several years ago when I did a video shout out to all my peeps here at MC, a few of them said I sounded like Mister Rogers... that, I don't think so, lol... most of the time anymore, people tell me I sound exactly like my dad over the phone. Really, the best way I can describe my own...
There's a very good chance not too many people are going to know what you're talking about, as back then, most PBS affiliates varied from station to station as far as their promos, bumpers, idents, etc.
It's not John Kennedy you're thinking of (though he is a Muppeteer), it was John Lovelady who was a part of TMS during Season One (and a number of pre-TMS projects, including being one of the right-handers for Ernie on SST), but there's never been a confirmation as to exactly why he parted ways...
The problem is whenever someone within the Muppet fandom tries to be realistic about something, others start whining and crying that those someones are pessimists who are polluting everything with negativity.
But anyway, I would just like to point something out... so many people here have been...
I'm starting to think my mother is having something of a mid-life crisis, because she LOVES these current pop tunes that would normally only appeal to pre-teen girls whose tastes in music hasn't had a chance to really develop yet. "Call Me Maybe", "Somebody That I Used to Know", just about every...
I like how everyone in this thread is acting like he just died. :p
It's still a shame that he's having to retire though, I really liked him; a few months ago, I caught a glimpse of an old Alan Alda movie he was in, and was surprised at how young and thin he was, considering he's usually a...
My current rant has to do with trying to convert a video to an audio format... I don't know why this is a problem anymore, but now, whenever I try to download/convert a video as an mp3 or a wav, the final results lower the volume considerably for really no reason: this means I have to open the...
Okay, let me try to get something straight here...
Gas and oil prices just shot back up (AGAIN)... all because of a rumor that started on TWITter that Syria's president was dead?
What. The. Fruitcake?!
Yes, I do have two or three episodes of The Charlie Horse Music Pizza posted on YouTube; I really liked it, it's such a shame we lost Shari so soon, I could have seen that show lasting for a good number of years.
I'm not so sure about the houses, but I do know at the height of his career, he had offices/workshops in NYC, London, Toronto, and LA.
As far as parties go, Caroll Spinney has said that Jim always threw the best parties, and never skimped on anything, the parties were always big and extravagent.
