Lol, that's another thing too... because the show's been on for so long, it's funny to see the difference in technology and such from different eras of the show... like from Season One, when Ratburn tries to explain the phonograph, "Record players? Before CD players were invented?", though I'm...
I would argue the same could be said with Shrek... partly. I think of the series, the second was the best one on all aspects: character interplay, storyflow, humor, etc. The third was okay, but it was really only good strictly for the laughs... I can't say much for the story itself, but it's...
I have that EXACT same problem right now. I know I'm always complaining about having not heard from my favorite person in a year now, but the problem is I like her. That's the problem, because there are other friends I don't hear from for extended periods of time as well, and it's no big deal...
I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't like the Toy Story movies... yeah, I'm sorry, but you guys ARE crazy, lol!
Now then... the Madagascar movies on the other hand... I really don't see the appeal in those... and now they've got a third one out, and the penguins from those movies got their own...
Yeah... that's probably a sign a friend is not exactly a very good friend if they're like, "Hey, you got other friends you can hang out with".
I mean, if they ditched you to hang out with someone like a boyfriend/girlfriend or whatever, that'd be a little more understandable, otherwise... nah...
Well, considering you considered her a best friend, she probably felt that was decent enough of an excuse... I mean, how many times do you hear that from someone like that?
Well, it wasn't just Clifford they were singling out, they were going after SST, and Arthur, and they were even going after some non-PBS fixtures as well like SpongeBob and Little Lulu. Apparently that "We Are Family" spot with both the SST Muppets, Classic Muppets, Between the Lions, SpongeBob...
Well, like I said, the problem is even though actual friendship does exist, it's just a real rarity these days... I don't know why, but people just feel like they don't need friends anymore these days... I kind of blame Seinfeld for that, lol. "Why would anyone want a friend?"
Yeah, I remember back when TV Land used to be good, they had a tradition where every New Year's Eve, they would have a marathon of the finales of a lot of series, and then on New Year's Day, they would air all the pilot episodes of their shows.
And then there used to be their "Merrythons"...
I hate this neighborhood. There's hobos everywhere, it's practically next door to the ghetto, whenever the weather's bad the power goes out constantly...
I wasn't aware they were books actually... I just know that I have the first one taped (off Disney Channel from the early 90s I believe), but I seem to recall seeing another one only once in school one day, I just don't remember much about it other than what I previously described from memory.
Oh. I didn't know it was part of an anthology, I thought it was just a stand-alone short/special.
Wasn't there also a sequel? I seem to recall seeing another installment only once as a kid (I have the first on tape, so I'm rather familiar with it)... like something about Ralph getting in...
Actually... I take back my previous statement about the trends of the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s being kind of blurred together... after thinking on it a bit more, I think the trend of skateboard style and whatnot was the trend of the 90s, goth/emo/punk was more a 2000s thing... but now I think I've...
Maybe I got into too deep of thinking last night, but something doesn't quite make sense to me...
In "Arthur's Almost Boring Day", Arthur and D.W. are sent to Grandma Thora's house, where she shows them some of the things their dad had from his childhood, including a pair of bell-bottom pants...
Again, they don't get sufficient funding to really do anything with their children's shows or anything... I know, I used to intern/volunteer at my PBS, we ended up seeing a SHARP decline in funds and pledges specifically for children's show because these radical right-wing home school groups...
