That's what I said, there's now dating sites for groups like old people, and even farmers. What's next? Dating sites for pets? I mean, I KNOW over in France, they actually invented... um... let's just say, you know that movie Lars and the Real Girl? Okay, yeah, they invented THOSE for pets now.
No... again, it seems like the public in general liked the Smurfs better, and dismissed the Snorks as Hanna-Barbera attempt to try to make another version of the Smurfs that wasn't as cute.
Personally, I think the reason I liked the Snorks better was because I'm really fond of aquatic tales...
Okay, you know what? These specialty dating sites are really getting out of hand... sure, apparently match.com and eharmony.com weren't enough, then we ended up with dating sites for Christian singles and Jewish singles... okay, but now, dating sites for old people? Dating sites for farmers...
I know, especially considering they now play some of the cartoons that I grew up with, like Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken, etc... but then again, I still wanted it way back when they were strictly all classic cartoons. Oh well.
Y'know, country is probably one of my least favorite genres of music, however, every once and a while, there will be a country song that I actually, genuinely enjoy, so here's a list of country songs I DO actually like, in no particular order:
1. "I Wanna Talk About Me" by Toby Keith
2...
Again, there's usually one of two motives behind a "teen revamp": either they're trying to market the same characters to an older demographic, or they're trying to reintroduce the characters to a new generation of fans.
Okay, remember here a while back, we were all reacting to the news article that a mother was arrested and booked for letting her children play outside (I can't find which thread it was in)? Well finally today, there's been an update to that story that makes sense as to what exactly was going...
That's one of the reasons why I love M*A*S*H so much, because that series broke all kinds of sitcom conventions, including character development: most of those characters grew in some way or form over the course of eleven seasons.
And now, my list of the top ten songs I can't stand, or am just sick of hearing, or just don't like for whatever reason...
1. "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John (soooooo not happy to learn that the person who wrote it was the same person who wrote The Chipettes' "Girls of Rock n Roll")
2...
As far as comic strips go, Baldo seems to allowing the character to age, but really REALLY slowly... I remember way back when Baldo was still a high schooler, then he eventually got himself a part-time job at an auto shop considering his love for cars... and he seems to still be working there.
I think once again I didn't make the point clear enough, so let me try it again, from another angle...
Do you feel fictional characters should be allowed to "grow" or "age" gradually overtime, or should they remain exactly the same no matter what? I'm not talking about cast changes or anything.
Again, it's the false advertising that's at fault for making it out to seem like that's what it's about.
EDIT: Or do you mean who was it that compared the show to that girl with the two live-in boyfriends? Inside Edition did the story quite some time ago, calling it a "real-life Modern Family...
False advertising.
You really can't go on promos or trailers for, really, anything anymore, because the ads always make them out to be something different from what they really are. Take three popular current series for example: Modern Family is about three little families that are all linked...
Another good or bad thread, obviously.
How do you feel about characters being aged?
I know a lot of people out there, like Charles Schulz, tend to dismiss the idea of aging characters, saying it's not a good idea, though others feel the opposite... in fact, Sonia Manzano has said she feels...
