Did I go through a phase like that? I know in the nine years I've been here on MC, I did go through two different bouts of depression (one of which was partly due to a side effect of a certain medication I was on at the time), but I don't recall going through a phase like that.
And to think, my only concern up until this point was what exactly I was going to do for Steve's second Halloween video this year, considering the first Halloween vid's been completed and sitting on my hard-drive since MARCH.
I'm just not sure I would be comfortable automatically being appointed executive producer... the producer tends to do more hands-on actual production work, putting the show together and everything. :smirk:
I haven't spoken with them myself just yet, and I know I have a lot to talk about, and a...
You mean to say you were actually in a costume made out of actual tin? Because I was the Tin Man one Halloween too when I was a kid, but the costume was basically really thin foam rubber to give it shape and such.
Long story short: apparently someone had been doing some string pulling behind my back, so now, it looks like that Steve D'Monster & Friends TV series may see the light of day after all... in fact, the TV folks are already offering me a chance to make four half-hour episodes.
I don't know what...
I seem to recall you mentioning that you didn't particularly care for it.

I could care less about the couples anymore in general, the drama that's unfolded in the fandom between the canon and mixed shippers kind of killed it for me.
Interestingly enough, I remember reading a review of the series overall, saying that they felt the comparison of the 60s and the 80s...
Neither do I, but I mean, SERIOUSLY, you'll have a BUNCH of people from the mixed camp JUMPING DOWN YOUR THROAT just for SAYING that, and some of them will go into long-winded discussions as to why they should be together, etc.
Now, admittedly, I did once enjoy an Alvin and Jeanette fanfic...
Luckily, that was just a phase... I've noticed the popularity of mixed couples tend to come and go in cycles and phases... right now, Dave and Vinny (The Chipmunks' birth mother) seems to be the popular mixed couple right now. Alvin and Eleanor were the biggest item there for a long time recently.
