were there any muppets who cursed?

Reply I have to agree. I can't picture Bert swearing, but I was just listening to "Muppet Central Radio" where Link was singing a song with another guy and there was a line in the song that went "one he** of a man." Was that really on "The Muppet Show?" If it was, it would be hard to believe...

Why did the edit MTM on VHS?

Reply Well, it wasn't that long ago. It was when I returned to the dorm last fall. I guess they recently restored that part.

Why did the edit MTM on VHS?

Reply I have a copy taped off the Family Channel. I could hear Animal's "Bad man! Bad man!" very clearly on that.

    TMS Series Finale

Reply Yeah. I do remember posting on that thread about being afraid of Animal.

    TMS Series Finale

Reply I have to agree with you there. JHH aired when I was fairly young and still afraid of the Muppets. I remember seeing parts of it, but I don't remember it as well as I remember Muppets Tonight!

    TMS Series Finale

Reply Well said, Gprime. That's sort of what I was saying in my previous post, but I like how you reworded it.

    Elmo is on Unpaved

Reply I think I remember seeing that one when I was little. I believe that's when Miles was just learning to talk. By the way, wasn't Miles originally played by Roscoe Orman's real life son? Interesting bit of trivia.

    TMS Series Finale

Reply I don't know. I imagine that they didn't want to make the final episode too dramatic or anything. I've seen that sometimes when they have the final episode of a sitcom, they have a curtain call and say who played which character. That would work for the Muppets, except that when a...

    the big kermit question....

Reply Darn right, you're going to get a lot of heat for what you said about the Muppet Show, dcfboss. Come on everybody. Let's throw him into a volcano! Lol. Just kidding. You're entitled to your opinion. I'd have to say it's a tie. But I have to agree with what Scooter said...

Suggestion re. Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson

I don't know. If that part of the site was ever updated, we'd have outlines of seasons 2-5 by now. :concern:

    TMS Series Finale

Reply According to the kermitage site, it was the Gene Kelly episode, which is why they used the "end of the world" plot. But then someone mentioned that that episode was scheduled for the beginning of the season, so I'm really not sure.

Well, I finally heard Steve's Statler

Reply Just a few comments here. About Bill's Rowlf, I really can't make a judgement about how he sounds, since he's usually silent. If he'd speak more, I might be able to decide. It's hard to tell when all he says is "Hi, Kermit." And Chilly, we're not trying to be negative towards Jerry or...

    Origins of Fozzie's name

Reply Well, Squire Trelawney was played by Fozzie. Same difference. Lol.

    Origins of Fozzie's name

Reply Wow. I've never noticed that. It's funny that I never thought of the origin of Fozzie's name, but I keep obsessing on why he thinks there's a guy living in his finger. Lol.

Well, I finally heard Steve's Statler

Reply Good list. Just a few comments. I'd recommend giving Janice to someone other than Brian. His didn't sound right (unless it was Erin's Janice instead of Richard's he was trying for.) Actually, I never thought Rowlf sounded like Bobo. In "Muppets From Space," I thought Bobo sounded...

    Floyd's Eyes

Reply Yep. The Amazing Mumford also falls into that category.

    First Muppet Movie?

Reply I think it was "The Muppets Take Manhattan." I remember seeing that at a movie theater in the mall when I was very young.

    Round Fozzie face?

Reply I don't know. I think their Fozzie looks worse than their Animal. By the way, Chilly, in response to that list you wrote, I haven't noticed that Fozzie had so many changes in his looks over the years. I know he looked different in the first season (since I have the Vincent Price...

    Does anyone remember Rodeo Rosie?

Reply Yeah, I remember reading books with Rodeo Rosie, but I don't remember ever seeing her on the show.

    The Alan appreciation thread

Reply I see. I should watch the show some time during spring break so I can get to know this Alan guy.
