Big Bird was in 8 eps this season? That's more than I thought. Of course I missed a few, so I'll have to check that out whenever my local station replays those eps.
I've heard Miles had appeared in one ep so far and Bob has appeared as well, just in material that was recycled from earlier...
"Things I Remember" wasn't really new, I believe it was made in the 90s. It was one of the last songs Jeff Moss did before he died.
So, we got "Have You Ever Looked at a Paper Clip" today with Henson's Ernie. That's a good one, but in all honesty I was hoping for Bert's "six" song since...
Okay. I guess they didn't make too many of those counting sheep segments then, because most of the season 35 ones I remember have the Count at his organ. I'll have to watch and see if they show any more of those.
I thought about that too. Elmo sure needs his head examined if he had thought the 'Snufflesaur' really was a dinosaur. I was thinking they'd go on with the story and show whether Elmo knew what was going on or not, but I guess the writers didn't think of that. Maybe Elmo will go home all...
Okay. My station played that ep today, so it looks like I'm back on track here, at least for now anyway.
Good point. It's always good to see Mr. S. Although there was a lack of continuity. How could everyone have forgotten about meeting Herb the Dinosaur from last season?
I think I remember seeing that one when I was little and there was a clip of that one at the end of "The Street We Live On." I'd like to see that in it's entirety.
I was a bit shocked when I read the title of this thread. I sort of thought Frank would be back for good. I'm glad I read the pawncrackers post that cleared that up. Still it would be good to see a later Frank Oz performance. I'm pretty certain it was Eric as Fozzie in the DVD menu, but I'm...
Yeah, I've noticed that too, but he is still in the credits, so he'll probably pop up at some point. I think since he and Loretta Long were the two longest running cast members on the show, they may both feel the need to move on to other things. After all, they don't make as many episodes per...
Pardon me for getting out of order. My local station and my work schedule is messed up. Lol. Anyway, I saw the 'triangle lover' ep for the first time today. I can't think of too much to say that hasn't already been said. I haven't really thought much about Horatio replacing Big Bird. I...
Yeah, too bad they can't do that with "Muppet Babies." The problem there is probably that all the live footage they use are clips from movies so they'd have problems with copyright issues. I think they could work around that though. I even wrote about that at the tv.com website. Anyway...
You mean those cold openings with Murray? I think I'd like it better if they used a character that we knew doing interviews rather than just a random monster. I could definitely see Kermit in his reporter role asking about the word on the street. But since the use of :) is limited, I could...
I like that idea, especially if they could use the famous Dr. Feel. The only problem there is that after that ep, they might think it would be wrong to continue playing the sketches where Ernie keeps Bert up at night. It might destroy that concept. Maybe if it were done somehow with Telly and...
Hmmmm. I haven't seen that one and I haven't read about it in the TV listings. I guess my local station is running them out of order. That might have a little to do with the fact that it's a pledge drive month. I'm hoping they'll show the new eps at a time when they can show them without...
Here is something I was thinking about this weekend and it sort of ties into what I said in the other thread about the writer's experimenting. I guess their still trying to decide what to do with BB. They might just continue to have Carroll loop in the voice. Or they might have Matt play Big...
I highly doubt Kevin has much to do with it. Now I could see Carroll Spinney phasing out of the show because it does seem like he's getting a bit old to play Big Bird and that he has Matt as his understudy, but I could see Kevin still on the show for a good number of years. My thoughts on this...
That's something to think about, all though Matt could always perform BB. Somebody mentioned that he already is and Carroll's just looping in the voice. Oscar still appears fairly frequently, so I don't think Carroll has too much to do with it.
Yeah. I could totally see those two working together. After all, we know Mumford is still around since in a recent ep, Grover talked to him off screen. They could have a segment with Mumford, even if Jerry wasn't available and they had to find a new puppeteer.
Anyway, since I've seen more...
I guess I see what you mean. It just seems like they're running out of ideas for TG. I mean, I haven't seen any new ones of those this season. Still it would be a good idea to have the endings vary. Again, I did like the ending scene the other day with Abby talking to Baby Marco. That...
Wow, another Gina the Vet story. I didn't see that part. This might become the new "Trash Gordon." Lol.
By the way, could you elaborate on who some of those celebs were? I was thinking the guy who described his family was Al Roker, but I'm not sure.
Also, who were they in the "Take a...
