Hi - for the fur I would try Distinctive Fabrics, they have a short fur blue that would look good for a Grover. As for the eyes, use plastic spoons.......good luck!

Personally, I think the sock puppet and melonhead patterns are well worth the money to get started. I started with them and then branched out a bit with my own. I can't say the Monstro is worth it from experience, but I wouldn't say they are ridiculously priced for what you get either....

Okay, so the guy gets points taken off for descriptive words. To me it would be the same as 1/1 scale... I think you guys are reading way too much into it, just my opinion....

It said "New Authentic Life-Size", it doesn't necessarily state it is to be taken as an actual muppet?

I'm confused, where did it ever state it was an actual Muppet? If anything, he may be plugging this Puppet Shop, but he never claimed it was an original?

Description states it was Custom-built for 4K, it looks liks it was fan made for his collection or whatever and now he needs the cash....

Everything you would need for an arm rod is at Walmart. Black coat hangars, craft foam brushes, and a hot glue gun......done! :)

The original one was re-released a few years ago and sells for $25.00 at TRU, being as it's identical, I couldn't see that it would be much more than that. But that said, there are die-hard fans of anything original, so what is worth $25.00 to one person may be worth much more to someone else....

Without any pictures, it almost sounds like the mouthplate may be too big for the head, the fleece/fur may be stretched too much over it. Try trimming down the sides a little and see what happens...

I would use Mongolian fur for the eye brows, it looks great on puppets...

It's true, he will not commission them, but he was selling his own a while back. I remember him posting something about it in the forums, there was an Elmo, Animal, PePe, and alot of his originals. I'm guessing they sold quick, but check with him, you may luck out.....

Little harsh, don't you think? he doesn't mean any harm, kid's just having some fun about it. In your opinion it may be ILLEGAL for him to have one built, but it's really just a fan-made puppet for his personal collection he's asking for. If he doesn't feel comfortable making one himself. why...
