No Problem, I did the same thing starting out. As you keep going you'll see ways to cut the time and process down, and what is necessary and what's not.....

Hi Coz, A is the way to go, but I have to honestly say I think you're putting too much thought into this. Use a 30-35mm doll joint, pop it thru the head and use either a nail or a screwdriver pick to start the hole in the ball, and then use a small pair of scissors to enlarge it and widen it...

I think a better question is what would YOU want to collect? With so much out there, what I look for may not be what you want to collect. Think of things that mean something to you and start with them first.....and have fun with it!!!

I bet you could get away with the melonhead, I did a puppet using that pattern with blinking eyes before. Just increase the pattern another 10% and use 1" foam so it won't "squish" when you use the eye mech....

Then one of two things can occur, Sesame Street will teach the adults as well as the children about tolerance, or the adults can change the channel. If this is the biggest issue for parents to be concerned with then there is a problem....but that's just my 2 cents.

Honestly, I'm thinking you may be better off with the sock puppet pattern and use the alternate body pattern for the body. Regardless of which one you choose, you'll have to alter the head to get that head shape. But you have enough reference material for sure, so it shouldn't give you much...

That's a great job, what did you use for a head pattern?
