I'm not sure what context they were used in, but there are allowances within copyright law for parody. That's why were're allowed to see Kermit and Gonzo dueling with lightsabres, etc.
Does this mean that Gonzo's nose problem has been solved?
Roll on Spring '08 - I think this is the first time I feel like I can't wait to part with $400!
There are provisions within copyright law that allows for back-up copies and copies for just this sort of reason to be be made (dependent on your country of residence)
Joe is re-selling merchandise he owns. His dollar profit IS on something that is his, a physical piece of property. If he...
Please don't get me wrong - my grumble earlier was mainly because I kept seeing the same names saying the same thing over and over - it would seem to die for a while and then someone would resurrect it by basically posting exactly the same thing as someone else - I just wasn't seeing the point...
Honestly I think they're being too ambitious with their release schedule - we're talking well over $1000 worth of Muppets due to hit between now and the end of 2008, and if there's four characters in 2009 that would probably be at least another $1000. I don't think there's the fan base to...
I don't want to sound grouchy here or anything, but can we please just let this one go? I've seen this debate here countless times and no one is actually saying anything new. I think by now we all know that it is copyright infringement, that he is a very bad boy and should be sent to the corner...
I'm kinda annoyed that we know the full line-up for 2008 already - we're only just half-way through '07, and it would have been nice to have a couple of them unknown...especially since I'm not the most patient of people, and knowing that I have to wait at least 6 months before I can even order...
The first stop in MR Kermit's trip has been posted - Las Vegas.
Some very cool pics here!

Hmm, I was kinda tired when I wrote that - wondered if I was rambling or not..haha. Although if there was something specific that you didn't understand I would have preferred it if you'd asked a clarifying question.
I've long thought that the best way to do the foam parts on Gonzo would be injection-molded hard plastic, just like we saw on the Palisades action figures. The problem with that, though, is that making those molds is incredibly expensive (from memory we're talking around $10,000 here) and there...
Fozzie looks fantastic! The other two I'm really not sure about - based on what I can see there I won't be getting either of them, which really worries me that sales might not be high enough for the Bear to make it any further than the prototype stage.
Thanks muppetperson.
Ummm, well the facial features (eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth and their relation to each other) look great, and the fur looks about right...but that head shape is way off.
Actually the head looks a bit like it's been Photoshopped - or is that just me?
I was just looking at those photos (really interesting to see, thanks for posting!) and don't see why the head stuffing couldn't just be removed - it looks like you cut a section away from the mouth gasket without any worries. As for the red mouth being glued to the gasket, well, the Kermit...
I guess that's the only thing that makes sense - although it seems a funny loop for Disney not to have closed. Many companies place a clause in their contracts with contractors and employees that they (the company) will own both the intellectual and physical results of labour done for that...
I actually find that really strange - since the character and likeness of Miss Piggy is owned by Disney rather than Puppet Heap, I would not have thought they would be in a position to refuse the molds if Disney wanted MR to have them. I'm not saying that you or Terry are wrong (when it comes to...
