You're certainly right; that statement was more of an observation in regards to the TOTAL buy-out, rather than the lend-lease kind of arrangement JHC and Disney had for MCC and the like. Perhaps its just coincidental timing in this instance? And wasn't KSY Disney-related? I know they filmed at...
Hehe
I don't think the misc. episode releases should be eliminated (they still serve the purposes of passive fans and kindergarten teachers): I just don't want to give HIT any bright ideas, ya know? :D
"Hmm...ya know we were gunna do those season sets...but look at all these great...
Thanks Beau.
The only problem is that unfortunately the Muppets aren't like a pendulum; its not like as their career swings one way (towards garbage), it can just as easily swing back to greatness. It'd take a HUGE altering of the current power structure/decision-making body for such a thing...
Doubtful, with such a support for the new. But its a nice thought.
I would like to see the Muppets back in their old forms; classic. Not moral or amoral, not adult or elementary. Just classic. Doing it like old time, getting down and having a great time making us feel happy about life. They...
This is the correct answer.
And you nailed it sir; there is no point to such a terrible idea. I just wanted to see how all of the fans of the current productions would react. They argue for the Muppet's continued track with such vigor...I just wanted to see the responses.
I think that Frogster and I differ a bit on our preceived implications of the Scooter-cage thing. Homosexuality wasn't my gripe; it was the lack of tact. Just wanted to point that out.
And dpruves, good post. It doesn't (or rather, shouldn't) take being 34 to agree with your analysis...
Yeah I was on Delphi for a little bit. I was kind of an occasional commentator at the time though, and I belive I had a different name (probably MSTieMuppet).
Me an institution? I'm flattered Beau! :D But no; you see how popular my pagan opinions are, LOL!
Again, thanks for taking the time...
I'm glad that at least one person here took the time to read my post and logically reply. Beau, good job sir. This is how actual debate should work. You're a good man, and if you'd like to continue our civil discussion, please PM me any time, being that it seems you are the only one thus far...
The blatent falsities in the responses of posters on JumptheShark calls the entire site's validity into question. If the people are judging these programs without any real knowledge of the shows themselves, how can there possibly be any credibility?
1. What is your gender? Male
2. Do you consider yourself a Muppet fan? No. I am a Henson fan; that means more.
3. Which is your favorite Muppet? (note the only choices are: Kermit,Piggy,Fozzie,Gonzo,Animal) Why such a limit? Of these though, Kermit is my favorite.
4. How many muppet movies do...
Doesn't all Henson-related material (besides SS) go to storage at the same Henson warehouse? If not masters (which might be controlled by the studio), the definitely worthy first-generation copies, no?
Good for all of you. I'm glad to see that when the Muppets continue their journey towards complete garbage, they'll still have an active fanbase of consumers to lap it up.
You're right; the Muppets aren't going away any time soon. That is the reality of the times I was speaking of. Its...
