The Brand New Ask Jim Lewis Thread

Do you have any hand in writing for the MDA Telethon when the Muppets are on it? I figure there's probably quite a bit of ad-libbing on something like that (especially when Pepe and Rizzo co-hosted last year), but I would assume there's a lot that gets scripted, too. I ask this because I have...

    Non-Muppet MP3 Trade Page

Yeah, it is. I think it was one of the songs Howard Ashman and Alan Menken wrote for their original version of Aladdin.

    Scariest Piggy Hairdo?

I usually like curly hair, but Piggy's hair in The Muppets Take Manhattan (and throughout most of the '80s) is pretty frightening... though it wasn't too bad in Muppet Family Christmas. Her hair in that video you posted is probably the worst. Yikes!

Yeah, that's it! Gee, my The Great Muppet Caper knowledge is slipping... must watch it again!

Next Looney Tunes DVD set cartoon list up!

Yeah, I think that'd be the best way to do it. Except that Looney Tunes has far more one-shot characters than Disney cartoons. Would you bundle them into their own collection? Or maybe include them as special features? Character box sets in chronological order would be great, though.

    Muppets.com relaunches with Disney XD

No, it's a screen saver acting class by Piggy. "The right TWO BEAR ARMS!" Aaaaaaaaaaah!

Next Looney Tunes DVD set cartoon list up!

Well, yes, those too, but I was mainly referring to the regular Looney Tunes made during that time, like Draftee Daffy and that sort of thing. I like the animation style in those, and Bob Clampett was still a big part of the studio. The humor in those is a little different, too. It was at...

Simplistic posts, though simplistic in nature, are complex to the eye, as the eye, being a body member of some complexity, processes the complex, relating it to the more complicated complexity of the brain, which simplifies complex items to a simplistic state in which we, the most simplistic of...

Next Looney Tunes DVD set cartoon list up!

As far as I could tell with the Golden Collections, there is only one repeat. And that's because the cartoon was done in in black and white, then in color (I actually don't think it's an exact repeat, though. some stuff might be changed in it). I believe Porky in Wackyland appears twice, maybe...

    Red Hot Riding Hood

Ha ha! Cute. Cute joke. Gonzo, on The Muppet Show, was always (sorta) "wolfish". His chasing after Piggy, or a chicken... or a cow. Gonzo: "Hubba Hubba!" (I cannot remember when he said that... AUGH!)

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Well, some episodes didn't have much of the Gorgs in them, some didn't have the Gorgs at all! Then again, some episodes were almost nothing but Gorgs. When I was younger, I never liked the Gorgs or Doozers. I love them now, of course, so I don't know how I feel about that either. The Gorgs...

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

Well, the question is more about whether or not this is going to be on seeing as how it isn't scheduled on any TV listings for the day it was reportedly going to air.

I'm surprised you haven't seen these before, Beau. They were on quite frequently when I was a kid. The wolf kinda reminds me of Gonzo toward chickens.

    Red Hot Riding Hood

Right that scene in The Mask was based on both of the characters. Jessica Rabbit was based on "Red", too. I probably should have generalized the topic a bit more to include the wolf. That's what makes the cartoons funny. The stereotypical male reaction of the wolf.

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

Disney's official TV listing. New episodes of Life with Derek and The Suite Life of Zach and Cody at 8:00 and 8:30. No listing for Studio DC: Almost Live, and doing a search for it comes up with nothing. I'm still going to be recording at that time, just in case. But if this was cancelled...
