Very nice. Kind of short, but I'm very happy to see Frank involved in the unveiling of the Muppet closet exhibit.
I love hearing Frank talk about Jim. And I love his description of the Muppets: "Affectionate anarchy."
I don't believe so. It was likely read with the main Muppet cast, Jason Segel, and likely James Bobin and Nick Stoller would have filled in for the uncast parts. I've heard of table reads going like that. The way his comment sounded, it seemed like Charles Grodin turned down his part in the film...

Not only is Frank being interviewed, but he's being interviewed about one of the absolute best parts of the NBC studio: The Muppet Closet.
Exciting much!

Just found the answer. The painting was done by Ted Coconis. The answer comes thanks to a document transcribed from a tour of the Henson Townhouse back in 98. There's, unfortunately, not a whole lot about it on his website, but there is a brief bit in his bio listing his movie assignments.
Hiya!
Miss Piggy is one of a kind, unique. Originally she had to be hand-carved from foam rubber, designed with her own "Miss Piggy pattern". Eventually, they changed her so that she was made from a set mold.
Unfortunately, that's the only episode on your list that you can get unedited in an official format.
Before the complete Season One was ever announced, I traded for those episodes. I was glad I did when I saw that Season One was edited... though I still bought it. Gotta support my Muppets!
Agreed. I've never heard a good Muppet impression, and to prove it...
Bad Muppet Impressions by moi, including a reading of one of The Wimp Monologues at the end.
Hehe! Loved Kermit's comment to Sam. Very Muppet Show-esque.
I think Eric has slipped in and out of a good Sam in the past, but this was pefect. Great job!
I just had a thought. We complain that Kermit's been referred to as "only appealing to children." Well, technically, that's the Muppets target audience, as Jim Henson himself admitted. Not specifically children, but the child in everyone. That's really who the Muppets speak to. Jim once said...
I agree with these points totally, Kev. I always have disliked tabloid and celebrity gossip shows, and I would hate to see any Muppet discussion dissolve to that sort of thing. As a fan, the main things I am interested in is the individual's work.
I'm not in Fan Fiction as much as I used to be, but I hadn't ever noticed any cliques. I was thinking perhaps the issues pop up in Friends and Family, a place I avoid like the plague as it seems to be the most likely place for problems to arise. I actually don't see where these things happen...
The Muppets are among a minority. The characters grow and evolve. They change as the years pass on. You're right. Kermit isn't the same as he was when Jim performed him. But have you ever compared early Sesame Street Kermit with The Muppet Show Kermit? Or The Muppet Show Kermit with The Jim...
"Down to internet videos?" Like it or not, YouTube is more popular than any television station, I'd bet. And at 14 million views, the Muppets are back to The Muppet Show style audience!
No one's said anything about the Muppets being in their "heyday." We know when that was. However, the...
