    Uncle Grandpa

The concept of the show is great; love the character of Pizza Steve (and that name) and the cartoon physics it uses compared to the other cartoons on CN. But, the actual Uncle Grandpa character seems like he'd get on my nerves after a very short while. They couldn't have done any other voice?

Warner Home Video now distributing Sesame Workshop DVDs

A new description of the "Being Brave" DVD mentions there being "a monster at the end of this DVD." Maybe this'll be that "Monster at the end of this show" footage we saw a couple of years ago on the Sesame Robinson blog.

Seriously Movie Industry, WHAT THE FROG?!!

I think that's a new thing theaters are trying out where you can see a blockbuster movie a few days before its official release. You get some things like full 3D or Real D experience, a poster and some popcorn. It's not necessarily the new norm.

There's a fly in my soup!

That's no fly, that's my wife!

JHC a former shell of its former self now adays?

I'm pretty sure that's not true. THe Jim Henson Workshop in NY still does make the Sesame Muppets.

JHC a former shell of its former self now adays?

Well, that was technically never theirs. I mean, they still make the puppets for it, but they're not involved ownership-wise.

Recording WAV audio on a Mac

I've had this problem and I can't find a solution really anywhere. Does anyone with Mac experience know a program or something that can record WAV files? I have one that works fine for mp3s, but any other thing (like Quicktime) won't record the computer audio for other formats or even at all...

JHC a former shell of its former self now adays?

Well, without the Muppets, they barely have anything.

    SpongeBob SquarePants

There was a great article on ToonZone that summarized what made the show great pre-movie and what the newer episodes are getting wrong. I've said it so many times here, but after the movie, they stopped being good. Having to create dozens of new characters to create stories, repeating themes...

Sesame Street Live: Make a New Friend

That looks like Lulu over by Zoe there (at least, her 2001 incarnation).

    John Tartaglia Interview

I was thinking about that the other day; I wonder what became/or will become of it.

    Flanderized Muppets?

I still say there's no point in fussing over the bit. Not counting the two callbacks, it was one mediocre joke in a movie with about 300 more that were great.

    Flanderized Muppets?

I like his "Patent pending" after the gag though.

Out of curiosity, is the MC review going to be published soon?

The Great Muppet Caper and Muppet Treasure Island coming to Blu-ray December 10

I enjoy the Sing-Along song, but why wouldn't they just use the entire video?

    Flanderized Muppets?

I wouldn't say they got more lowbrow. "Fart shoes" is your only real example of a lowbrow joke. The joke in LTS was "Santa CLAWS", which is a terrible joke and worthy of Fozzie. Honestly, he said so many groan worthy puns and other funny lines in the newest movie, it's easy to over look the...

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

So, I actually watched that "Foodfight!" movie a couple of weeks ago. Yes, it was terrible; bad animation, bad writing. But, the NYTimes article kinda makes me think it could've been slightly better. It mentioned they wanted to have Looney Tunes-style animation; if the movie was done in 2D and...

The Jim Henson Hour Appreciation Thread

Usually, sketch comedy shows only two of certain recurring segment a season. Like, Stefon shows up twice a season on SNL, as did the Celebrity Jeopardy bits. Sesame Street usually filmed a couple more than that, what with the amount of material they needed.
