Haha, what if half of them were like humans trying to look as Muppetyish as they can, with like pieces of felt for ears and google eyes on their heads...
It was funny in my head.
Oh no, I get it, and it's definitely awesome, I just find it odd that they're writing a movie when they just filmed the presentation pilot. That's all.
Huh. I find it very odd that both a new TV show and movie are in development and that the news of both reached us all within a few days of each other. A script being worked on is one thing--one wonderful thing--but I doubt Disney will want to greenlight a feature film without seeing how the TV...
I'm not too sure about Clifford's participation on the new show. Kevin Clash is Mr. Sesame now, and I really doubt he'd go to LA to shoot it. My roommate was an intern there for both this past summer and fall and she says that Kevin really takes charge of the whole operation. And that's aside...
Thanks Count. I didn't think he was. his first speaking role after Richard Hunt died was VMMCM right?
I wonder exactly which Muppets will be introduced back into prominence. I mean, there are a LOT, a lot a lot a lot. We heard from the Muppet Wiki article that Kermit, Fozzie, Sam and Piggy (I...
I have tons and tons of fav Fraggle songs, but here are some off the top of my head (and a few that haven't been mentioned yet!):
Follow Me
The Friendship Song
Pass It On
Catch a Tail by the Tiger
Lost and Found (omg the yodelling on this one is the definition of awesome)
Pass It On
Get Goin'...
HA, I WISH!
You know what's also wonderful about this reintroduction to the Muppets idea? Not only do new viewers get to know them, but in a way, we the fans get to know them all over. Sure we know Everything from Sam and Friends to *coughWoOcough*, but now there's new character-based...
Another really great thing about this presentation pilot is the mocumentary style itself. I hope Bill Barretta plays around with the style as well, because that's always entertaining. Did anyone see The Comeback? Probably not, most people didn't. But it was a really great show and the style was...
My old SN was SarahHIYE. I was active from hmm IDK, 2001 - 2004? Then I deleted the email that went with the SN and poof! No more SN. Oops. I lurked for awhile but created the SN when I got really angry at all the Steve-bashing that was going on in a thread--and even some Dave-bashing--and meant...
Robin as teenager = Gobo Fraggle! hehe
The Muppets better sing. That was my biggest problem with MFS and WoO (I wish VMMCM had more songs, but I love 'Everyone Matters'). That's where they find a lot of heart--and also a lot of humor.
Since Rowlf is back, maybe once all the Muppets get...
Piggy may be the manager at a fast food joint, but she's been telling everyone that she's the hostess at the hottest celebrity restaurant, Roi de Hamburger.
Statler and Waldorf? Are we gonna have them there?
Ummm no. At least I don't think so. But it got the go ahead before anything else got the go ahead. I think. If this pilot was made this month, it had to have been pitched a couple of months ago.
But Disney obviously hasn't given up on The Muppets.
No, it's not a full pilot, it's a presentation pilot. Because the Muppets are owned by Disney, it's a little different than the regular experience. Producers aren't going to have to run around to different networks with pitches and pilots hoping someone will take it.
This is how it probably...
This is pilot season, usually when pilots are being cast. They're cast in Jan/Feb, shot in March/April and shown in May, I believe. IDK, I'm in New York. LA and me don't mix.
But yeah, this is a pilot presentation, meaning it's a smaller-pilot...it's not a full-length show. You could call it a...
Boooo to having to wait for a summer release, but I guess we just need to be happy that it'll get here eventually. Think back 5 years when TimeLife sold sets of 3 eps for $20. I was in high school then and my mom didn't "believe" in buying stuff off the TV. Sigh. So I'll content myself with my...
I really really wanna know--how did everyone else hear about this?! I found it randomly during a bout of procrastination, but people are saying they knew before--Mrs. Pepper, how did you hear?
