i have been watching it all night, and i cant belive how much of my childhood came rushing back, if thier was anything that made me want to be a puppeteer, and puppet designer, this was it, more...
Bear , its in NYC,
and for all thos einthe area you should totally check it out, JOHN is a amazing photographer, and a great guy , and just about every photo you have seen of the muppets in books, and displays was done by him
so go see it if you are in the NYC area
what you have a is a very simple marrionette,
for stringing it here is what i would do.
start with the head string, i think those will go to the 2 in the middle are , the ones closeest togother., make sure they are balanced.
next i would do the back string , again make sure it is...
really not sure what u mean thier dude,i suggest you do some reasearch on spay rooms, and vent hoods, . as far a s the flamable aspect , its like the same amount of flamability that spary paint has, its really more about the fumes being bad to breath in
if you are lucky you have a walkin vent room, with a fan going out sidesealed off from the rest of the heated room., if you arnt you try to limit your gluing to a one peroid at a time when all your piecse are ready to go, and then glue with you vent fan blowing for just as long as you need it to.
well today its a even more extreme thing but crazy harry has been pretty mush phased out since the mid eighties,
still i think folks are a littel to sensitive when it comes to this stuff, but i guess thier isnt much that can be done about it, no matter what you say or do , their is always...
i thinkit all goes to your skill level as a sculpture, or pattern maker, much like drawing a represtaional cartoon of a person, when building a puppet to look like someone you try to effisive certain facila features over others, that give that individual their "look"
but in contrast to simply...
Basicly alot of the crazy and funny things the muppets did in the early days wee retired do to things that were happening in the world.
if u look at a lot of the later and more recent muppet productions, u see a lot less of the random explosions, and other mildly cartoon like violince that...
from what i heard , its pretty mucha test run, see how it looks and if it works, , i have no idea about puppeteers, or whos involved, wether or not this sees that light of day is anyones guess,
frankly i dont have a hole lot of faith in it , but we sahll see what we shall see
ok i know it was a joke, but lets not put that idea in thier heads, (besides ,it is already thier im sure)
but i think the workshop has suffered way many more sling and arrows than any puppeteer in the company, its bad enough we got treated like the red headed step children when they...
I still get those request , most are pretty understanding when i say i dont do replicas, other get down right nasty , acting as though im depriving thier children(or more likely themselves) of something that they dont really need.
and then when i tell them how much they would cost , they get...
