Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

No, it's not really a "special." It's just the non-insert pieces from the season premiere episode (all the scenes add up to about 26 minutes, so it works perfectly as a half-hour special).

Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

Or, and this seems really out there, y'all can just relax. And please, do not pester these people regarding these episodes. I know you all badly want to see them, but you just have to be patient and see what comes of this.

Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

Whatever arrangement there is, it's based on the goodwill Muppet Wiki has built up over the years. Random YT-ers have no such standing.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4933 - Camp Grover

So, Grover doesn't know what a camp counselor does...and yet they directly reference the sketches where he was a camp counselor. Eh, whatever.

Sesame Street on "A Capitol Fourth" Thursday July 4, 2019

The President is not often at this event, if ever, I believe. Current President is throwing his own pity-party event elsewhere in Washington that night.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4932 - Baby Bear's Just Right Cafe

That was at the end. But yeah, it was nice to see Baby Bear again; I miss him, even though they didn't really do much in the episode. The bit at the very end was easily the best part. And that Cloud 9 Diner animation was interesting to say the least.

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

Alright, we get it. People are ungrateful, rare stuff is being found, etc, etc, etc. Let's move on.

Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

I am interested in seeing OTL just because it's a rare thing, but honestly, the descriptions on the Wiki don't sound all that hot. The Muppet stuff seems fine (I've seen a bit of the Grover Knover bit at one screening), but the stuff with the Electric Company cast looks easily skippable and that...

    Early on-location videotape segments

I often wonder if Sesame has the original film reels for a lot of those early films and cartoons before they were dubbed to tape. The Henson Legacy has some of Jim's Sesame work on film and restored some of it HD not long ago (looking really good).

"Tag" means it's like a short little thing or like a quick bit reacting to/continuing a previous one.

HBO Family - Are Classic Episodes Coming or Are We Being Tricked?

They're not, it's probably just a weird way they're numbered within the tv guides.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4931 - Grocery Games

That was rather amusing, actually, especially the little bit with the Count. And wasn't there supposed to be a song with Solange Knowles in this episode?

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

The AAPB site lists a number of entries for Sesame episodes (modern, so don't get excited); they are simply not availible to watch online.

    Ratings for Sesame Street?

Season boxsets of the show would be completely impractical; you could fit at most 3 hours on a disc, and that would still be 40+ discs a season. Plus, there's tons of royalties/rights for the all the cast, celebrities, animators, filmmakers, musicians, etc - there's no way something like this...

New Sesame Street movie in development with Warner Bros.

Before anyone passes judgement, just remember: Brett McKenzie also wrote naughty novelty songs and his output on both Muppet films was superb.

Video: Sesame Street Live on NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

Kinda weird to hear a non-hip-hop arrangement of "What I Am"; if you're inclined to think so, I guess that says something about the modern methods of Sesame songwriting. But yeah, that was swell. They kinda threw me there by having Elmo's favorite song not be "Elmo's Song."
