Official: “Muppets Now”, an unscripted series coming to Disney+ on July 31, 2020

Short form is like that, yes. I wouldn't figure any of these are longer than 10 minutes. I had heard that they actually shot these things, but there wasn't any confirmation they would be released. I also heard that they're not fully "unscripted" because entails a lot more work, production-wise.

Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

Well, the former is an interesting and indirect way of addressing drugs (I'm surprised they haven't made it like one of their tentpole "big issue" episodes they bring up all the time). The latter is just, "130 episodes is a lot of work! Make up characters!"

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

I'd imagine some sort of copy was written for them after some initial contact. They wouldn't want a celebrity going on camera and being like, "I liked that one cartoon with the fairy...or was it a pixie?"

Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

I mean, technically speaking, it makes the episode feel more "new" beyond recycling the street scenes.

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

Not classic clips, per se, but here's video of Chris Cerf and Ivy Austin singing live at a MOMI event yesterday: (That's Paul Rudolph on bongos)

    50th Anniversary DVD announced

I think it's entirely possible that the episodes prior to Season 33 may not have *every* scene of the street plot; just the ones relevant enough. Like the Mr. Hooper one - probably won't have the opening with Forgetful or the "J-Jump" scene, just the ones pertaining to the big moment.

Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) Ends Partnership with Sesame Street over Julia

It's not about Julia; if it were, this would've been an issue when she debuted years ago. It's moreso that SW is partnered with an organization that is not as kind to the Autism community was one would hope. And apparently, these PSA spots they've done under the Autism Speaks name are what's...

Sesame Street Episode 847 with Margaret Hamilton

Yes, the episode was pulled from airing. But he's saying it's not unlike every other episode of the show from that era - hasn't been seen since it's original airing or repeat.

Abelardo is making an appearance during the LA Sesame Street Road Trip

It's nice/cool they're doing that. As far as I know, they're not producing new material with him (only Lola), so it's nice to see him getting around.

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

Didn't I say several pages ago that they would most likely have the most recent seasons first because they're already digitized?

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

SW's press statements have said the special will air on both HBO and PBS; I see no reason to doubt otherwise.

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Movie 40th Anniversary in theaters July 25 and July 30, 2019

We didn't even get trivia. We got nothing but black silence until the Universal logo abruptly began like 15 minutes after the scheduled start.

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Movie 40th Anniversary in theaters July 25 and July 30, 2019

Thanks for the tix, MC! I went in the evening and the theater was almost full, it seemed (I was in one of the first rows, so I didn't really gauge behind me). The audience was responsive enough. They laughed the most at Steve Martin (as they should) and when Mel Brooks licks his machine. There...

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

It also wouldn't make any sense that they'd only be allowed to air a 50th anniversary special months after the occasion was relevant.
