This was awesome. Though now, I wonder if people will search "Sesame Street 1980s" looking for '80s clips and be disappointed to find this (though I actually searched for this and found some '80s clips before this clip).
One thing I've been meaning to ask, maybe it'd be better for its own...
Well, The Muppet Mindset has already posted an article on it (while, last I checked, Tough Pigs has not).

In Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Ace figures out that Lois Einhorne is actually Ray Finkle. During the climax, Ace tells the cops, Einhorne tells them that he's lying. Now, she clearly wouldn't want them to know, but she could have just said he was wrong instead of lying. Even if he really was...
I feel like it does go along with some of the things mentioned in Jim Henson: The Biography regarding the making of Muppet Vision 3D. I feel like it says there were disagreements between Henson and Disney, particularly on his desired budget. Can't remember what else was said.
Actually...
I think I forgot that he had died. I recently read that he auctioned his rights to his songs, assuming that wasn't a hoax I thought it was interesting (even if the price was high - though I wondered if any fan could just pay what they could and pay the rest after the royalties came in), but if...
I think it's interesting that Disney felt they needed the Henson family's blessings to fire Steve Whitmire, as if they have final say (since they don't control who performs the Muppets anymore, Disney does). Makes me wonder if they asked the family for their opinion on whether to fire Steve...
Something that I just realized: It's called Muppet Thought of the Week, as opposed to "Muppets Thought of the Week" (or "The Muppets Thought of the Week"). Could this mean that Disney has dropped using the plural for all uses of Muppet in the title?
That is a great clip, though I can kind of see why it hasn't aired in years (well, besides the fact that it has characters who haven't been on the show in years).
It seems a little weird to have a character dressed as a devil on the show. A few parts seem a little creepy (like Maria, dressed as...
I'm skeptical of this. If it's an unwritten rule to not digitize this, then it's not in writing, how likely would the archivists be to remember/be aware of this? And just one episode out of them all?* I know they didn't plan to air it again, but there's thousands of episodes that haven't aired...
I find it interesting that all of these rare song clips are songs written by Tony Geiss. Makes me wonder if he actually supplied the copies. I've read that he recently auctioned the copyright on all of his Sesame Street songs, not sure if anybody bought them (it was a pretty steep price, I think...
The recent exposure of these clips is interesting, I won't ask how they were obtained, but it seems like they weren't taken from an individual episode (or maybe they were taken from an incomplete copy of an episode... Which could explain why I'm Square appears to be cut off at the beginning)...
It looks to me like I'm Square is cut off at the beginning. Seems like Bert's reacting to something Maria said, and that they should have had a longer conversation (and it looks like Bert's holding a tape at the beginning which doesn't seem to be commented upon).
I mean he said that the Muppet series, whatever it was, was not going to be a big show to go "goo-goo banana pants over", and I feel like this show isn't, either, which made me wonder if the Muppet thing Thatcher was working on was revived and was this. But he confirmed that it isn't.
Last Summer, Kirk Thatcher tweeted that he was directing a new Muppet series, one that wouldn't be "a big Muppet show to go goo-goo banana pants over" (and I might have phrased that incorrectly), then announced that the project had been canceled "for now" last fall.
But recently I was...
I can't believe Cheryl Henson had talked this way about Steve.
However, Steve did say in a Muppet Central interview that he'd heard that Jim told a few people that he wanted Steve to take over Kermit if he was unable to, and there was an interview with Jane Henson from 1990 saying that Jim...
I often bring up "season one show content" files that can be viewed at the University of Maryland, all of which were scanned and posted on Muppet Wiki's talk page for that place. The guide lists practically every insert for the first season, with a list of episode numbers that each segment...
I've often wondered about that as well. I keep thinking about the whole movie taking place in a movie studio with the characters working on the film, but there's probably a lot more to it than that. Maybe there's a villain, or maybe it's like MTM where there is no main antagonist. Of course...
