It's amazing what is now known thanks to these.
Just a day or two ago, there was a page created for a season 21 episode with Oscar being against recycling, which turns out to be the episode that had a clip in the A&E Biography that showed Oscar, accompanied by Bruno, asking Bob "How long have...
Not sure if this was intentional, but the segment where Ernie and Bert go to Egypt is like the opposite of a typical Ernie and Bert sketch.
Many have Ernie dragging Bert into his activities/nonsense, which Bert is not interested in, but as soon as he is enjoying the activity and really into...
I thought it was a little weird when PJ and Kai-Lee interact with Jonathan, appearing in a TV set as opposed to appearing in person in his studio. But then I remembered that it's kinda like at the beginning of Hey, You're as Funny as Fozzie Bear, where Kermit talks to some kids watching the...
There is something I had thought about for a while after the wiki started making these guides. I wonder, of all the episode pages compiled from trusted sources, which of them will be the first to surface, whether it's the whole episode or just the street scenes, whether it turns out somebody...
For the last few months, a few people at Muppet Wiki got access to many scripts from the show, creating episode pages cited as being from trusted sources. And these sudden scripts have been a nice asset for the wiki.
Along with seeing new episode pages for old episodes, it's often fascinating...
I remember them uploading/creating a playlist of performances by Jerry Nelson. Not really the same as creating a documentary-style video about his work. Then again, they likely had more time to put together a video honoring Caroll Spinney than they would have for Jerry Nelson.
After seeing that tribute video Sesame Workshop did to honor Caroll Spinney, I was thinking that's the kind of thing Sesame Workshop hasn't done for its official YouTube channel, and hope they can do more with other performers and people involved with the show.
But now I wonder if maybe they...
This is sad news, but I'm not really surprised. It is great that he'll achieve his goal of making it to season 50 (and season 49 hasn't even started airing yet).
But I see a lot of people online talking about this (and this applies more to reactions from fans on Facebook than on the Muppet...
I've seen it mentioned a few times on the wiki that some of these scripts appear to be transcribed from the episodes after they were finished (I think it was said the original scripts were lost or whatever, in that case it's great they bothered to create new copies), and I've heard of some old...
I thought it was better with Statler and Waldorf watching from a variety of locations than just watching in a nursing home.
Interesting about Coolio, that one also announced Don Rickles as a guest, and was the only episode to really announce two different guest stars (a few episodes had a...
Today I got the Elmo Explores DVD.
I don't know whether people were wondering or if it was just me, but the three classic Elmo's World episodes selected as bonus features are the original edits as opposed to five-minute cropped-to-widescreen edits (I don't really know off-hand if they made...
I wonder where they got their info about some of these, like Elmo originally going to have a bigger part or John Landis being offered to direct.
If Elmo was given his bigger part, it would have given Richard Hunt a bigger role in the movie.
What insert scripts was he called "AM Elmo" in? Is the name used in segments where he doesn't talk and it wouldn't really matter who was used (like "Me Lost Me Cookie in the Disco", "Grover Sells Newspapers", "Kermit News: First Day of School", etc.)? I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't named...
I enjoyed this.
So Elmo was often called "AM Elmo" in scripts for insert segments? Did they do that with any other characters with no distinct personality (like "AM Maurice" or "AM Harvey")? I feel this should go in the main Elmo page on the wiki.
So is that one Elmo appearance from season...
So great to see the Kermit sketch, even if I can't hear the original English. I was a little confused by the description saying he repeats what he did with the hats after being asked what a reporter does, but from the looks of it, it looks like Kermit was going back and forth acting like himself...
Which gets me thinking, in The Street We Live On, we see Elmo learn about Mr. Hooper, but is anybody familiar with the clip shown (I don't really know what I can say about the clip that's specific enough to stand out)? I wonder if that clip came before or after Elmo was introduced.
I guess the only way we'd truly know (as opposed to maybe being a mistake) would be if we could find info on taping dates (I wouldn't be surprised if Sesame Workshop still had a copy of every insert with either an image or a shot of the slate board).
Though it is interesting when it comes to...
