    Questions about anything

This is the first I’ve heard that. could it be a case for the word being “corrected” in auto correct (depending on whether you’ve only seen it written online).

Segments acceptable in 70s/80s, but now no longer the case

The pipe scenes were replaced in season 23, though some of them never aired after the changes (in fact, Ali Baba was last scene in season 21, Chariots of Fur and Upstairs Downstairs last in season 20, I can’t remember if Me, Claudias last aired in season 19 or 20... though I think all the others...

Official: Elmo’s Staying Up Late Show coming to HBO Max on May 27, 2020

Maybe Grover should work every job. While Cookie Monster is the co-host, maybe they'll work in appearances by all the main characters at some point, similar to cameos from other characters on Elmo's World. Maybe they can have Don Music and Hoots the Owl provide a house band, it also seems...

The "What Commercial was that?!" Thread

I'm remembering a commercial, I'm pretty sure TV Land aired it as a retromercial back in the 1990s, it has a father talking to his son about how he's doing poorly in math. The son points out better grades he got in other classes, the father remarks "yeah, but you've got to do good at math", and...

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

I previously said that the site doesn't list episode descriptions, but then I looked at their info on some late-1990s episodes, and see that some do have descriptions and some don't (not seeing descriptions in '80s or early '90s episodes, but I haven't looked that thoroughly). So if it has...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

As far as I know, the redesign came at the start of season 4 (it would be interesting to see if the redesign appeared before season 3 ended.... and I hope we find the original Snuffy in an episode after the last lost episode of season 3 so we won't be unable to determine the first appearance of...

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

I've learned that the place now has episodes from season 15 and up at the archive. Looking at the page, I see that they don't include descriptions for the episodes (do they expect everybody to just search the wiki to know what to look for... even if, according to some that tried to make an...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

Quite a few of the lost episodes are Snuffy-centric third season episodes.

    Have you met any celebrities?

In late-November I went to GalaxyCon Louisville and met (or at least talked with) a few more celebrities to name. *Kirk Thatcher *David Yost (Billy from Power Rangers) *Kristy Swanson (Big Daddy, Dude Where’s My Car, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off) *Barry Bostwick *the guy who played Randall in...

    Dreams about Muppets

A couple of nights ago I had a dream where I went to a convention that Bill Barretta and Martin Robinson were attending. And they didn’t seem to have a real booth or lines, they were just walking around the crowd and I was easily able to approach them, though I spent more time with Robinson than...

Episode 99 ended up being another episode that was a lot different from the script used for wiki sourcing: https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_0099

"A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" starring Tom Hanks premieres November 2019

It was an awesome movie. I expected it to be a full autobiography on Mr. Rogers', as opposed to being based more on an article that came out in 1998. I really like the scenes that simulate parts of the show (the beginning, the sequence leading to a film about making magazines, the ending)...

    Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Thread

I saw it last night. It was awesome. Jim Carrey turned down an offer to play Dr. Evil in Austin Powers, and I feel his portrayal of Robotnik is like it would have been if he'd played Dr. Evil (except his Robotnik is clearly a lot more competent than Dr. Evil). He also reminds me a bit of Judge...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

We've had the audio online for years, but now we have pictures as well for Gordon and Susan's wedding flashback! https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_1733?file=1733g.jpg

I've never noticed that before. I guess it goes by so quickly that it's easy to miss.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

I wonder if they remembered the episode (well, it wasn’t that long a gap) or if they looked through old scripts/old episodes for remake inspiration.

    Episode info from trusted sources

There was an episode where Oscar told the story of how he moved to Sesame Street: https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Episode_2089 Sounds like an exciting episode. I had wondered if it was true or if it was Oscar making things up, I did notice that the only humans in the flashback are Bob...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

Seems like they liked using Max as a name for short-lived monsters back then. It was recently discovered that the monster from Comb Your Face was named Max Monster (with the name being used in one street scene), and Kevin Clash performed a different Max Monster in a season 12 episode.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

I wouldn’t say I was rubbing it in because I’m not among those with the rare episodes. Anyway, I might have used a wrong choice of words. I meant that just because they’re getting all these rare episodes from a mysterious source doesn’t mean those will be the ones on HBO Max. And maybe they...
