April Fools: I saw Dinosaurs Pogs at the store

I know. I had originally considered posting about Fraggle Rock pogs before deciding Dinosaurs might be a little more random. Maybe I should have made it be about Ghost of Faffner Hall pogs.

April Fools: I saw Dinosaurs Pogs at the store

This morning I went to Target and saw official Dinosaurs Pogs. How odd. Pogs hadn't been popular since 1996, though I have seen new Pogs at Target in the last few years. A list inside a mini-catalogue mentions who all is included. There's Pogs for all the main characters, plus one for every...

April Fools: Muppet Adventures REMASTERED coming to 2021 gaming consoles

There's a new report that the 1990 video game Muppet Adventures: Chaos at the Carnival is going to be rereleased on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and XBOX One this Summer. Much like DuckTales Remastered and Aladdin/The Lion King Remastered, this special remastered edition will be remastered in...

I did not realize that scenes from episode 1586 have been on YouTube since January. Classic Sesame Street - 4 Scenes from 1586 - YouTube

Frank Welker is coming to Galaxy Con on Saturday April 24th

It is interesting that the more expensive ones seem to also get less time with each fan. I would think the ones that cost less would be longer sessions. Of course the ones who charge more are probably in more demand (and I'm not sure who decides on the prices), and I guess if there's more demand...

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

An early Aristotle appearance. I am surprised to see he has less hair than in other appearances I have seen (which come from the same episode), his ears are a lot easier to see as well. I should have seen these on the wiki guides (unless I just hadn't seen the episode page after images were...

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

I say that I don't really remember the Blue Bird segments from when I was a kid, but he pretty much sounds the way I was expecting (and he wasn't voiced by any of the main performers or anyone whose voice I am familiar with). Must be sudden instant recall effect. Speaking of an instant recall...

    Little things we've noticed

Just because he wasn't voicing characters yet does not mean he wasn't involved with writing songs yet. Thinking a bit about the Monotones, even though it was common for one of the regular voices to be absent, I wonder if instead of Richard Hunt they should have had another of the songwriters...

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

Looking at the page and editing history for Blue Bird, I feel I should have clicked on the sourced link, as the page previously only mentioned a little of what Rick Lyon said about Blue Bird. Though the whole quote has been there for months. Back when I only knew of him being dropped because...

Could have been his opportunity to do more (I don’t think the voice actor did much on Sesame Street, either).

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

I should check Muppet Wiki because that was not on the page last time I checked (which was a while ago). Blue Bird kind of sounds like a Kevin Clash character, though I know Clash didn’t do the voice. I wonder why they had it be a separate voice actor as opposed to Rick Lyon.

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

This is the first I heard about Caroll Spinney hating the segment (I guess that’s why they didn’t have him play Blue Bird). i don’t really remember the character from when I was a kid though I was actively watching the show then (and it seems like the kind of thing that should have stood out...

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

So glad to see a Blue Bird segment. I wonder what it was that made the segments too expensive. The chromo key opening sequence? Having to film outdoors? The need for extras and guest actors?

    Little things we've noticed

That sure is sad (and I really like that SMV logo sequence).

    Little things we've noticed

Makes me wonder if they thought the intro was too long and decided to just shorten it before completely dropping it. Though starting that way is a rather awkward edit as well. I wonder if some of the edited segments as presented on the site were edited that way on the show at some point. I...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

I wonder if that unicycle man cameo was what Caroll Spinney talked about in an “I Am Big Bird” bonus feature where he discussed appearing in magician attire (which could have been the other cameo we know about or could have been this).

    Questions about anything

Okay. I started wondering if that was likely. I don’t think many would rent so many at once (especially not if it’s more runtime than the return date).

    Questions about anything

Back in the days of video rentals, were there limits on how many videos and video games could be rented at a time (like, if a person had enough money, could they rent 40 videos in one weekend)?
