For the Walter walking scene, I'm pretty sure they didn't use CGI. They used blue screen, taping the puppet's movements in front of a blank blue screen, then adding in the background. I would imagine the Swedish Chef also was like that.

I don't think the majority of us do think CGI is the devil. I actually really like CGI, and I think it's a great thing, as long as it's used properly...the Muppets in CGI = not being used properly. But there are a ton of great uses for CGI.
Yeah. It does look kind of weird...I just saw it the other day on a movie I was watching. It had that little disclaimer and I thought, "Wait...is this a documentary or something?"
