For some reason I have the feeling that that exact interview VP Weirdo quoted was probably the basis for the Connelly-half of the fact in question...it makes sense how it could have got interpreted/misinterpreted.

According to the Montreal Gazette, the Muppets apparently will be hosting two galas at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal on July 26. It appears they will be at 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, at the Salle Wilfrid Pelletier of Place des Arts.
