tony geiss was there. um, they were fairly predictable answers--elmo was all happy and cute and the audience would go awww and he would go "aw, come on, what did you expect?" and oscar would have some answer like: you don't want to know...
kevin was playing elmo straight, not to adults like he...
well, if you have a pc, you can do such things with real player, keepvid.com, vixy.net or mediaconverter.org (to download video off youtube) and windows movie maker (setting stills & video clips to your own soundtrack, & other basic editing effects). i'm sure it's even easier with a mac.
it was run through the edu dept at wpu, so any publicity was separate from the evening one. i only found out about it b/c stephenjlizard mentioned it in a post, so i immediately searched their website & bought tickets an hour and a half before they closed. i have no idea how he found out about...
how did i miss this thread?
i put this observation in another thread, but clearly it belongs here. i went to a seminar on punctuation in medieval and early modern texts, and it reminded me of the mc forum:
sometimes punctuation is grammatical, but other times it guides a reader on how to...
thanks prawn. & you only know about what i share through the forum--i'm always sending these things to people i know in person. from my experience being on the other end, as an historian, librarian, teacher, and researcher, i know that access to documents of any sort is very important. and as...
the teacher workshop was run by the wpu education department, and aimed at early childhood educators, who received an education credit for participating. however, neither the moderator nor the panelists really said anything useful for teachers--both the questions and the answers treated it more...
huh? it wasn't for the teachers' thing. that was just caroll, bob, sonia, tony, and michael davis. i have no idea what frank was referring to with that comment--i thought maybe that they had him film something for ss season 40 while they had him on this side of the country for a day, or...
another ss special for military families
Here's a promo for "Coming Home: Military Families Cope With Change," which will air on PBS on April 1. Perhaps this is the one Kevin Clash was referring to when he mentioned once that they were producing a difficult special in response to miliitary...
in support of bob mcgrath's efforts, i won't send anyone Bob's Favorite Street Songs or any other of his albums that are widely available in stores. i would refer you to his website www.bobmcgrath.com where you can click "where to buy" to find the stores he encourages you to go to for his...
they actually re-released the birthday album on cd, and you can buy it from the sesame street store ($ goes to produce the show). but the cd doesn't have the song A Little Bit Bigger, and it probably has the Kingston Livingston remake of A Cat Had a Birthday as David wasn't on the show any more...
hey, it was great to meet you guys. marty's improv with telly was funny, and the actor's studio thing was a cute idea. and i thought michael did a great job putting the thing together--it was nice to finally see someone who actually knows something about the show asking these guys questions...
don't worry cookie, you have my number, we'll find each other before the event, even if i don't make it out to pizza or whatever. i'm going to the teacher workshop in the afternoon (so steve, i'll see you there) which comes with dinner at the dining hall. which is convenient, but it might be...
might you be thinking of two different bits here? --the cartoon and the song. which i used to love. :)
i never liked the wasteroon song, and i still can't stand it. i dislike it so much that apparently i didn't rip it along with the rest of my vast collection of ss songs, because i know it...
